Tramp Stamps

I know that there are some who just do not care for tattoos at all and there are others who like tattoos just not tramp stamps. What category do you fall into? Do you think that it depends on what the "tramp stamp" is as to whether it's really something that bothers you? What do you think of women who "show off" their tattoos by wearing revealing clothing? Does it depend on "What" the reveal? As I said before I am thinking of getting tattoos. I've found out more about them and found one I really want but the location I want it in, well the message itself, could come off as meaning something I don't want it to mean at all. I've really got to find out about some of my tattoos and my work policy as I am not sure if it would be allowed. I may be able to get them but would have to wear a shirt to cover them at all times, so that would mean VERY hot days in the summer for me. Anyway, If I budget, save, and earn right I think when May's bonus check comes I'll go get one or two tattoos done.

I'm not a fan of the 'tramp stamp'. I think that it has become overdone and having it termed 'tramp stamp' has left it in such a way that any girl with one is labeled as such these days. Personally I'd never get one, not really for those reasons though. I have a few tattoos and have plans for more. They're small, tasteful, feminine. They're also unconventional. Tattoos for me, need to be about individuality and not the latest reused pic you find in the catalogue.

I was actually thinking the opposite. I think that now that time has gone on, that the tramp stamp isn't really considered as trashy anymore, it just depends on what it is of. I have a friend who has one, and it's a butterfly. The one I want to get says "love is pain" and i want it on my lower back. I do agree that tattoos are indivduality, an expression of who you are and should be thoroughly thought out.

Here in Ireland I'm afraid that it's still definitely branded a 'tramp stamp', which is a pity as some lovely, tasteful and individual pieces can and have been done on girls' backs. Is it true I wonder that you cannot have an epidural if you have one? I'm not interested in an epidural or a 'tramp stamp' myself, just a general question.

I saw a lady come in with her sleeves done. It was pretty cool except I wondere what some were. If I were to do that, which I doubt I would, it'd be celtic design I think. I do want stars on my arms that I think I would need to cover. I know that I would have to decide where to put some that wouldn't show. I want stars but I think I will go from having them on my arms to on my chest, angled inward and down, so really on my shoulders.

My 20 year old neice has one. She has a rose on her back. Right were all tramp stamps are on woman! She got it on the day after she turned 18. She got it as a graduation present from high school from her parents. I don't like tattoos. I really don't like tramp stamps! It sends the message "I am a tramp and I am easy"! My neice isn't but I know alot of college girls who have a tramp stamp and are easy! Tramp stamps are dumb!

Well, there's a reason why stereotypes exist. If you get it done, some people are going to think you're easy. Why? Because many girls who get tattoos and piercings are.... easy. If you intend to get the tattoos anyway, then you will simply have to live with the consequences of that action. Both in how the tattoo stretches and fades into a blurring ugly mess when you get older, and in how men see you, whether they say it out loud, or think you are cheap and easy in the back of their mind. In either case, the choice is yours. Just try not to complain after you get the tattoo, because you have been warned. No excuses later for "well I didn't know...".

I am not the one who fond of tattoo, or get my body stitch with all the weird words, or pictures. I rather let it be, and not to draw anything on it. Anyway, good luck with your tattoo, and I think if you not offend most people at your workplace, a tattoo or two might not be a big deal at your work place.

One of them I want to get is of a confederate flag, it can be offensive to some. I am in the south so the majority wouldn't be offended but some may, so I am not sure. I do want to get it in an obvious place, so that is well that's one thing I need to think of.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the term "tramp stamp". The first tattoo I ever got was on the bottom of my back and it's words in memory of my Grandfather. I don't think the term "tramp stamp" should apply to everybody, only those who get a tattoo for the sake of getting a tattoo and making it look pretty, maybe. Unfortunately, due to positioning, anyone who has a tattoo in that location, whether meaningful or not, gets stuck with having a "tramp stamp". I think showing off a tattoo all depends on where it is and how revealing the clothing is, I guess. I have 11 tattoos, and all can be covered. I'd never dress to intentionally show off my tattoos unless I'm going to a gig (some of my tattoos are band related), but even then it's only my shoulderblade, calf or wrists, so nothing too flashy.

I think that a few strategic tats are okay. I think that well done ones are artistic and interesting to see on a person. I don't care for spotchy black and shadowed ones all up and down legs and arms. It looks tacky and not that artistic. I hope you enjoy your tatoos and that they are worth it to you and you are never sorry for getting them.

Getting tattoos for other people is not a good idea. Tattoos are for the person who wears them. I have several tattoos and in fact set up an appointment for one next week. All of my tattoos have meaning to me. I have no problem telling anyone what they mean when they ask.

I love tats and have now got a total of 8 I got my fist at 16. However I am not getting another. As far as work goes I think if it is somewhere you can keep it covered during working hours I do not think it should be a problem but you should probably check with your employer to be sure. Tramp Stamp nope don't like the word. I think it is a horrible slang term that does not have a real place in the tattoo world. A person can be a tramp with or without a tattoo on their lower back. In fact I think that is one of the best places to be tatted because then it is usually always covered unless you purposely show it off, and only then if somewhere were doing that, then the word tramp stamp may apply.

I have no tattoos would never take them. Why not? Because I have many allergies and I also don't like it on the kind and colour of skin I have. If it comes to tattoos generally speaking I like them. What I don't like are the tattoos badly made, and there are way too many who are so ugly. Also it depends on the person if the tattoo fits or not (and the spot, please don't take it on a spot where it looks ugly as soon as you are gaining weight or you get older). I think a tattoo should look great, be like a jewelry, something you are proud about. If it's a great one you should show it too.

I love tattoos! I think of it as an expression of oneself. But i don't have one and i don't think i'll ever have one. I just admire those people who have it. But i'm not really a fan for tattooed name or something. I just like the colorful one or just plain black. But if ever i'll get a tattoo, i think it will be in my nape. for women Getting a tattoo just to show off is not really cool for me. They just want some attention.
