In this very technological world now-a-days, majority of the people make businesses online and there will always be those people who would even try to start a business that would just make us victims of being scammed. They'd pretend to ask for some personal information, credit card information especially. In short, they'd like to simply be able to send them some cash as for them, they are the ones who'd always prefer "easy money". Meaning, all they want to do is simply sit down, do their scamming business online without anyone seeing them and what they are really doing which is just so unfair to the part of those being victimized by them.
Now if you'd be asked for an opinion, what do you want to happen to them?...What should be the imposed punishment for these scammers everywhere around the globe once caught guilty?..
Share your thoughts as this has been really going so rampant, especially now that we have access to the internet everyday of our lives.

Put them on jail.
Online or offline scammers are all equal, I think. It just online scammers have more power to scam more people..
Or, well, each countries have their own laws to punish the scammers, so let them use their respective laws wisely
.
Anyway, some local online scammers has been successfully caught here in my country and be put in jail. It can be really hard if the members come from all around the world, anyway. Perhaps we need the great team works within interpol. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

Scammers must be punished for sure. They steal away the hard earned money of thousands of people and run away.Another side is that,it is difficult to catch these scammers and hence people should be careful in dealing with money in these online programs and thus theses scammers won't have a chance to to scam people. As long as there are victims, there will be frauds and scammers.Such a prevention actions is facilitated by sites those verify each and every money earning sites and by people by sharing their experience in sites like mylot.

The punishment depends on the scam done by the scammer.Online scammers are sometimes hard to find because in this generation of the internet they can pretend to be somebody else thus, place pictures and information which is not theirs. So we have to be very careful when dealing online transactions. Before going any further in ordering items with them, be sure to check if his/her online store is legit you can do that by looking up if there were feedback of customers regarding that online store and don't just rely on that if possible try to calling their previous customers too to ask for feedbacks be sure to keep your own personal copies of your orders print screen it including their pictures hahaha. And if paying for items demand a meet up so that you can see if h/she is the one selling you the items.Don't give out your credit card info or any other cards that will have access on your money ask for another payment methods.Keep all receipts for proofs and your conversations because that is your proof that a transaction has been made it may come in text messaging, email, private message etc.

I hope that they realize what if those scammers are the victims of their own scam one day. What would they feel about be scammed? I be scammed many times through internet, but that wasn't too big. I being scammed in real life, someone who I thought can be friend. At the end, I want him to "die" as my ultimate punishment for him. I hope that someday he will be get his as* kicked, or he will lost everything he scammed other people from.

That depends on the scam and on the victims. If the scammer tricks rich people who won't go hungry for years after losing that money, then giving the money back is more than enough. But if the scammer tricks old people out of their pensions or poor people out of their food then jail. However, we put the first ones to jail and call the second ones bankers, so maybe we should let civilization to rot :p. But to tell you the truth I think we should follow the way of the closed fist and accept that its the victim's own fault, either for giving their financial information for the Nigerian prince promising riches, or for putting their money in the banking prince promising safety :).
