If you like light hearted mysteries then you might want to consider reading a series by Lilian Jackson Braun. The first book in the series is called "The Cat Who Could Read Backwards."
The story is about a reporter who inherits a couple of Siamese cats, one is a clever fellow who helps the reporter solve mysteries.
The books are a quick read and if you have cats or know them, you can tell that Ms. Braun really knows her stuff.

I am also a big fan of reading books although not as much as I used to be. I would love to recommend some boos for you but sadly I cannot do that because you did not specify what kind of books you love reading. We have fiction, horror, romance, and many more categories of books. Kindly narrow down your request and we will recommend you to the best books in the market.

It depends on what genre you're into.
For fantasy/adventure I would definitely recommend the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. Or the Inheritance Cycle by Chistopher Paolini if you don't mind something aimed at a slightly younger audience (aimed at teenagers but I recently finished the seiries and enjoyed it immensely)
If you're more into crime/thriller then I would absolutely suggest you read Bone By Bone by Carol O'Connell; I'm not a big fan of crime books but I couldn't put this down. I also just finished reading The Reckoning by Jane Casey which was very good, very twisty. Alternatively the Dexter seiries by Jeff Lindsay if you like things a little bit darker and very much less conventional. They're also good if you like dark humour.
Also, if you like classical stories with a modern edge you might like Anno Dracula by Kim Newman. It's a sort of pseudo sequel to Dracula if Dracula had won and is based around the murders of Jack the Ripper. It draws on a lot of other classic works from the same period including Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde, Sherlock Holmes and The Picture of Dorian Gray, aswell as dozens of other works to various degrees.
If you prefer any other genres then let me know. I'm a major book geek so will probably have a recommendation for any area :)

I can't paste links yet, but if you look on www.amazon.com and search for Dysfunctional Romance by Derick Hudson, that's a great book. It's a chick-lit book, but it is great for both guys and gals. It's absolutely laugh out loud hilarious. It's available as a book or on Kindle as well. I read it recently and my man thought I was crazy sitting here on the couch laughing out loud!
