A Couple and their little girl were in the restaurant for breakfast this morning. One person takes orders,my job was bringing the plated hot breakfasts to the tables. With the family's order,I was asked to bring a couple of sausages for the Little Girl's Dog,Ben..(The hotel doesn't permit pets, but some people do bring a Dog with them and they sleep in the car overnight,so that was what was going through my mind on my way to the table..) and then I saw Ben...a puppy sized stuffed toy Collie! She was all delighted We'd brought the sausages... How about you? did anything make You smile?

This story made me smile. I think that it is wonderful when adults not only encourage children but also nurture children's natural creativity and active imaginations. Of course, there needs to be a limit to this, but I think that bringing food to a stuffed dog when it so obviously brightened the girl's day is a beautiful thing.

We get lots of moments like that, but little kids are especially cute at mealtimes, interacting with us and other people..

Thank you for the honor of best response. I think it is cute that one of the sausages was gone. I wonder whether or not the parents ate it while the child was distracted ... I think that would have been adorable, and I am sure the little girl would have been very surprised and happy if they did.

I had just one thing after another. Nothing good. Then Ellen came on and i watched most of it and she made me smile. Sometimes she is my only hope during the day. Stress, stress and more stress. Ugh!

I rarely watch daytime type TV,but a show like that, raising a smile on a stressful day, would be worth tuning in for!

Yes. I have an ex-boyfriend. I missed him so much, when suddenly, he texted me. I am soooo happy even though, we are just only friends. The text he gave me really makes me smile. I know it is not that deep, but I do not care. Ha ha

I'm thinking There's still good feelings there,if He's remained a Friend as an ex, and a text from him can put a Smile in your day..

Today? Absolutely nothing, there was just too much stress this morning. Then nothing exceptional happened, other than it being a nice warm day, in March. Nothing bad happened after getting the stress ironed out again this morning, but am so tired of going in circles over the same thing with my family. It is just soooo frustrating. I'm beginning to really think I can't stand my family, they have no tact or otherwise feelings as to what others are experiencing or feel like at all.

my pet dog sopia and panda, brightens my day. the moment they hear my doors open they would bark like saying, "goodmorning!" they would lick my face and play with me,,.. so, yes, my dogs brighten my day... but since im here at manila,. my aunts dogs brighten my days... so boring... since i miss my dogs... but they also have a pet dog here so its enough, but nothing beats panda and sopia... hehehe.. :)

Though I don't have a dog myself,My Sister and My Uncle do,so it's always nice to be welcomed by the furry members of their families whenever I go to visit!

i have been sick all week but pulled myself together to go to meet the teacher night tonight (mid term to see how our teenaged daughters are doing in school) and i had a really nice chat with one of my older daughters past teachers. he and i are history fanatics (he also teaches history) so we had a really cool conversation and he said he had a book to lend me about the Vietnam war so that should be interesting to read.

I am a stay-at-home mom. Seeing my daughter smile or laugh brightens my day. Seeing my furry babies running around the living room brightens my day. Cooking something new that didn't come from my recipe book and people giving me positive feedback regarding the food I cooked for them brightens my day. And lastly, knowing I'm alive brightens my day.. thanks be to the good Lord!

today i was crying because my wisdom tooth hurt (going to get it pulled tomorrow). my little chiwawa came up to me real slow like, put his paw on my shoulder, then scooted into me while i was lying down. that made me not only stop crying, but smile. i love my little doggie.

Simple things do make me smile. When my love says hi and greet me or leave a message through email, that's too much to filled my heart with gladness. :)

what brightened my day is the smile of my beautiful 4 months old baby, when I get tired, when I get bored or when I don't feel motivated, I just play with my baby girl and her smile will brighten my day.

I read an article by Sammyspam over on Squidoo and when I joined this forum, I saw that he was, also, a member here. Doesn't take alot to make me smile if you can remember to laugh at yourself one in awhile.
