In this world, there is no doubt that every people want to be a successful person, even me :) .Actually there are many ways we can do to make it true. However people have a tendency to give up in the middle of the journey before touching the finish line. Most people say that successful is equal to rich. Our hardworking will be valuable if we have got the money and live in happines.
So, what do you think guys? do you have same view? how do you interpret success itself?
thanks. :)

No,I don't agree with the statement.Earning money is certainly essential for our survival, but we should not forget that money is not everything. For me,we are successful if we feel that we are happy. If you earn money, but if you are not happy, then you are not successful by any means.Success is the feeling of fulfillment. If we have the feeling, then we are successful no matter we have money or not.Your success must make you happy.

I really think it depends on what is important to you as an individual. If money is what is important, then your statement is true. But for me, success is more than money. In fact, I would be perfectly happy to do volunteer work if I had my basic needs taken care of. I spend my time volunteering and my only income if from disability.

I think that money is something that is not a good measure of success, however you usually find that this is how it is measured by other people. Personally, I think that you can be successful in things like raising money for charity and not have a penny for yourself, or paint an amazing picture which is never sold, and then you wouldn't have any money yourself but would still be successful. Money only tells half of the story and I have always thought that it was a very crude measure of success that should always be coupled with other things.

yes of course i think its really, not good formula, there are many persons who are gotting everything in life and yet they are not rich, beside there are many words to say he or she is rich, emotionally rich or money rich or intelligence rich, i do not think that the money rich are rich in all the other life needed skills and feelings, no one has everything, no way, so all are haveing things that make them better than others in area or more, so i do not believe in that rich equal good life or anything like it.

For me success has nothing to do with money. Success for me is based on the kind of life a person lives. An evil person with money is much less successful than a poor person with a good heart.

I have the same view regarding successful is equal to rich. And I do also experience on giving up due to problems and stress involve. Well, people do to think that if you are rich then you became a successful one, so a lot of people now want to get rich.

Well if that is your goal, than yes, that would be success. The key thing is that success is something that matches up to their own goals. And it does in fact go without saying that the goal of some people is to in fact earn a lot of money where they can be considered to be very rich. That is just how things do in fact go a lot of the time.
However goals do come in many varying forms, so it is kind of hard to pin down what success truly is. One person's goal might be to be rich, having a lot of money, while another person's goal would be to just have enough to live a moderately comfortable lifestyle. Both of those goals being achieved would be success for that person. As long as the end result of the goal is obtained, then that is success.

Somehow, I have to agree with you... however, for me success is something having the best thing in life, and they say the best thing in life is free, correct? Just like having a great family, being a good husband, a great wife and raising your children well. Well, of course you need money on this one, you might say how will you be good husband or a great wife and raise your children well if they are hungry. That I think involves money, not exactly being rich but have a stable income... I too want to get rich... but I also believe that being rich is 90% luck and 10% hard work, why did I say this, because there are some person that took 2 or 3 jobs and still not rich but they are hard worker, right? There are also some people that is born rich and some does not even finish studying and even become a business tycoon or a successful entrepreneur. this is just my opinion... :D

Yes, I doubtlessly agree with this. In this world, success is measured based on how much you have earned materially. You can hear people say that success is having lot of friends, having peace of mind, and many other description that are good to the ears, but look at what they are doing? Are they spending an 8-hour daily work to gain friends? Of course not, they work to earn money. They keep on trying to better what they are doing to earn more money. Others who failed to get rich after trying so hard would settle claiming that they are successful for they have peace of mind. Those preachers teaching us that money is evil, that money is not the true happiness in life, etc.,are they preaching for free? It's their means of earning money and many of them got rich.
Having much money is not an insurance of happiness. There are still lot of considerations that need to be satisfied. But I believe that having no money is an insurance of unhappiness. That means you have a great chance of being happy if you have money, but without money you have no chance at all. Sad to say, but this is the reality of life. We can't escape this for we are existing in a material world.
May L leave this question before I depart.Do you know someone who in his/her entire life never try to gain material wealth?

i do not believe to be successful equal to rich.you can be rich without being successful, you can have money and many things money can buy and your healthy is not function well to enjoy all the money you have work for mean you are not successful.to be successful means to be in good health and have what money can buy without working all the day of your life.

I think that it defers on every persons goals. if someone has a goal for his life getting lots of money by work then at the end he feels successful. If someone has a goal for his life having a decent work and a good family life then at the end he feels as successful as the first one.

good day atwilson,
indeed for me the measurement of being successful is having a lot and lots of money. having the riches in terms of money, as this is how i measure success. although, it cannot be applied to some, but, generally, if you have a lots of money, then you have the power to do almost all things.
that is why, i am really that eager to have more earnings. since having a lot of money is my measurement that i am already a successful one.

I guess it happiness, content and joy , whatever that fulfilles those criteria, some people are rich have many things and do many things but they are not fulfill or content, however , some people are poor, but they live a simple life and fill content and at peace. People that are poor or rich who envy or jealouse other people have to achieve peace and joy.

Successful doesn't necessarily mean rich for me, but definitely a financial situation where someone doesn't have to struggle for a living. It's rather something like when we can say we live relatively well and don't have to worry about little things, and can be happy. I think it rather depends on the attitude than the actual wealth.

For me the equivalent of success is satisfaction. You do not need to be rich to be successful. All you need is to be satisfied and be content. If you reach that level then you can be successful. Successful in your struggle in life and to make your life as comfortable as you want it to be. I think being rich is just one component of success. As most of the things we need in this world needs money.

success is equals to been rich, at least if not wealthy ,to be comfortable and not needing to beg anybody. Many people believe success is achieving something ,if what you have achieved cannot put food on your table then i would rather not achieve any thing and be comfortable ,therefore success to me means comfort.
