Should we have a National Day of no driving to reduce gas prices?

If there was such a day would you/ could you do it? I could, I think if we all made a stand on some kind of measure, it could reduce the gas prices. What are your thoughts on something like this?

I think that'd be pretty kool but many probably wouldn't want it b/c their work might be far away for them or many liek to shop and the stores might too far away for them to reach.
