Watch the trailer, it's on IMDB and YouTube. If it looks interesting to you then go read up more about it and see it if you decide you might enjoy it.
I saw it last night at a midnight screening and I loved it. I'm a big fan of the books, read the first one when it was first published in 2008. I thought the book was just going to be a solid best seller, but I watched it grow and now I'm fairly certain it's the next blockbuster fictional franchise. Will YOU like it? Will YOU think it's worth it? I honestly have no idea. I love the series, but my opinion really won't dictate whether or not you'll like the movie for yourself.

As You're considering whether to see this movie ,as I understand, the book series this movie is based on is aimed at teens/young adults,so you might want to take that into consideration,(Depending on your own age!) but then if you were a Harry Potter fan,so were those books/movies,and they appealed to a whole bunch of people..
I haven't read any of the Hunger Games series myself so far,but I'm not ruling it out at some stage-I haven't been to the cinema too often this year as yet,and on my most recent visit last week I saw a Trailer for this Movie,so the movie's only popping up on my radar before I'd even heard of the books..
If you trust movie reviewers and critics, and people you know who've already seen it,take a chance and go,or if you prefer, hold off until you read a few reports on movie review sites like IMDB or Rotten tomatoes.. RT was showing an 86% rating for it,which is good.. I don't know enough of the story to give you a thumbnail sketch of why you should or shouldn't go see it,but as I understand,it's going to be the next big thing (unlike "John Carter"),so it's up to you if you want to jump in now,or wait a bit more!
