Do You Think That Mylot Newbies Are Expecting Too Much?

Hi Arviez, I agreed with you, most or lot of newbies are expecting a lot here in mylot especially on how to make money here they even thought that senior users of mylot has some tricks on how to increase their earnings and stuff. I notice that most of newbies rather ask than to read and learn or find out their self on how work on mylot. They actually don't take efforts on how to work on mylot just like " why should read when I can ask " right? and when newbies finds out that earnings are slow and needs lot of time of effort and participation they will suddenly dissappear haha I remember most of newbies ask a lot about earnings, why decreasings, how to make lot of money here and blabla

Maybe at the week-ends there appears to be more new users because they are off school? In that case they are youngsters and probably think that on myLot they can get a quick dollar or two after reading articles posted elsewhere by those who promote it incorrectly. Too many blogs and articles are promoting it as an earning site while that is not, in my opinion and that of many others, the main feature here. Those who come expecting to earn quickly and without putting in much effort will indeed be expecting too much.

Yes, people who are new to MyLot will often expect a lot from here, and it's best not to expect anything. You have to put what you can into it.

Well were once a newbie before and expecting too much here in mylot. Assuming this site is easy to earn money. Before I was too eager to make my first payout to see to believe that Mylot is legit. And after that receiving my first payout I've been active as much as I can it's so addicting. But for now it seem I'm having more fun to share to read and to participate without thinking on my earnings. Mylot has been a part of my life.

probbaly yes also becaus e in many cases when you reach a new system and it ounds really affordable you expect much but after short itme may be you realize that mylot is not as easy as we thought when we joined as regard reaching the payout and make money...it happened to me too naturally when i joined the first time this site!!

Mostly newbies join Mylot only to earn.They take up all online activities to make money.My experience is when they join Mylot,they are more active at the initial stages.When they see that they can't earn from Mylot as much as they want to,then they become less active.Only a few of them remain active regardless of what they are earning here.

i so know what you mean arviez. i think id be heart broken if i got off mylot to long. and i think a lot of newbies here come just for the money, which really isnt that easy to make but they dont realise that here if they read guildlines and make friends, etc. its so much better then other social sites. i think if they looked at it like they do FB and myspace, they would enjoy it so much better. except at least here you dont have to read the trashy brash things like on the other social sites. if newbies looked at it like just communication with people of the same interests, they would enjoy it more. when i was new i was just like you. but hey, im still the same with my discussions.

I think it's pretty normal for people to go knock their selves out being new here. That's because they haven't gotten their first payout from mylot. It took me a long time to reach payout. Even I didn't realize how it worked back then. But yes one can earn a substantial amount here on mylot if you refer a lot of people here. But even that won't make one rich. Mylot is a place to share views about anything. It is an intellectual digest for everyone around the world and it shares some of it's revenue to the members. If one hopes to earn a real killing on mylot it certainly won't happen here. Unless they are up to no good. But hey, lean back and look at facebook and mylot from a distance and compare. I don't see facebook giving away (billions) anything back to their members? In conclusion any newbie is expected to be excited about how mylot was marketed or how they were told by those who referred them. But that is not a bad thing, it's just a normal phase of a newbie. They will learn though that mylot is not a place to earn a ton of money, but the riches you can gather from here are the information and the friends you get to meet. cheers.

We all start as newbies and as far as I am concerned I just registered not knowing what to expect. Someone was singing its praises in another forum and I just got carried away. It is a nice place to unwind if you know how to avoid situations that wind you up!!

I think you'll find new users on any website having that attitude. They come into the website with their eyes wide open, with big hopes and expectations that might not be within the realm of possibility. They learn the hard way a lot of the time. One of two things happen. They take their ball and go home or they adapt with more reasonable expectations of what the myLot experience truthfully is all about. I know that there was a time where I had some insane expectations before I really knew what this website is all about. There are times when you are here, for a year, two, or even three, or more, that you start getting a bigger and better feel of what things are going to be like. There are times where people see money and tend to burn themselves out quickly. Then again when you are fresh faced and new and wet behind the ears, things like this will occur.

I think they did!. At first I am doing the same like them, expecting will be easy making money here. I admit I come here at beginning for money . When I realize I just can make few dollar a month and not even enough to reach my first pay out. Its quite lowering my spirit. There is one thing that's not made me quick, is the people here. They really friendly and willing to help. Another plus point is my English improving really fast and give more confident to talk with English. So its not always about money. For me I learn something about new thing and life every day, its made me wiser and not judge people easily. Its mean a lot more than money.

well, you are not a newbie, that may be the reason you are not expecting more. But a newbie, surely they will expect more as they are not familiar to mylot earlier.

I think, most newbies go to MYlot on weekends only, because they are busy with either their studies or full time job on weekdays. I agree with you gav, that when i was still a newbie here, i would be excited seeing the responses on my started discussions. And that feeling is still the same until today, though. Of course as a newbie, you are expecting to earn much, thus make more quality posts , but eventually you will notice that earning sometimes becomes secondary. That's because you enjoy the interaction here.

Initially yes I do they they are expecting too much from MyLot. But I also believe that in time they will learn and understand how it all works here at MyLot. I am no longer a newbie and I am still excited to open my email and respond to my friends discussions. Most of us here are here for the money, lets not kid ourselves. But we are also here for the wonderful world of culture and topics. In order to make good money here, I think that all the seasoned members know, is that we need real good active referrals.

well i started here myself 6 years ago i have never gotten a pay out due to not reaching full amount but i do have few dollars that arent showing up from previous years it not a big deal i missed mylot i was without internet and completly lost this place .. i mean it would be great if could get it back some how cary over or something i dont know if possible but my point is now i feel as if a newbie here again since it been a few years since seen any fimialar people ... here sincce 06.. to stay !!!! this time im going to be active every day i was younger then n didnt realise how great a site this is !!!n everyone i thinkk newb or not is trying to keep the amount of talking up amongst users maybe just like u said feel good when people reply maybe they just see one word and they instantly jump in with a very vague not in depth perception of what is gping on for them maybe ... lol Sincerly Low!!06!!:):)missed yall

oh yeah and I like that. many new members here expect too much and quickly give up. many people make a lot of discussion and hope to win too much and do not even have read the terms and conditions. but I can only wish them luck and success. interesting discussion a friend!

hi there! i am a newbie here at mylot and honestly, the reason for my joining here is because i want to earn extra for my own family. but as i have continuously been replying and creating a few discussions, I am beginning to like it here already. it's pretty much enjoyable and yes, i get excited sometimes to find out if someone has already commented to a discussion i started. yes, honestly i am more active on weekends because that's the only time i could really devote more of my time, i am a working mom and most of my weekends i spend the day at work and the night taking care of my baby. :-)

when i 1st joined i was one of those newbies but i did read and i read over a lot and i did post a lot of questions and i was epecting way to much beause i was told wrong things but i also joined to check it out. it was a way to earn a few extra bucks so i was willing to try it out. the more time i spent in mylot the more fun i starting having and the less i worried about how much money i would make. i am excited and tryig to get to the pay out amount for the 1st time but also having fun while doing so... i am not really sure if newbies spend more time on weekends than weekdays but it really depends on their daily life and daily routine. if someone works all week or goes to school then of course they would be more active on the weekwnds. when i was a newbie i would be off and on because i am a stay at home mom and i am able to be online when i want to. so i am and was not more active on a weekday or a weekend..

I'm a newbie as you call us, and I don't expect anything. I get what I get, and that's it. If I make money here, fine, if I don't, fine. I'm here because it was an interesting site to join. I come in here when I get a message in my inbox that someone has made a comment on a post that I commented on. If it happens to be a weekend, then fine, I come in then. If it happens to be during the week, then fine, I will come in then. It don't matter when I come in here, as long as I do come in.

I just wanted to say that I'm a "newbie" as you call it. But I just want to meet new people. I hope I can too. I like this place because its a bit more anonymous than facebok which makes people more open.
