Hi everyone,
Yep, you guessed it, this discussion was inspired by Rihanna's song; one of my favourite party songs of the moment.
But this discussion is not about the song itself, rather I am wondering where you met your significant other? You know.....as the lyrics go....'we fell in love in a hopeless place'....where were you when you fell in love? It could be with a past partner or a current partner or someone whose eyes met yours, a love at first sight moment but you maybe didn't quite get it together yet?
I'll go first....
I met my only love (to date) at a friends' house in Norbury, Croydon, England. Now that love is gone. Woe is me!

i met my significant other half while out hunting for haggis and scampi fishing. i was up the giddy heights and the looming misty peaks of a mountain called Ben Doon in the utter boaky islands to the northwest with a wee qwerky turn to the left of scotland.
My bonnie wee wife-to-be was was covered in tar and feathers and sinking in a peatbog all the way up to her boobies. i could see that behind that blackened tar riddled face there was a thing of beauty and realising that i was not considered a catch in the village because of my 7 fingers on each hand (but i play the piano beautifully) i best take a bride before i got any older. I stopped making love to the sheep and tied a tether from the sheep to my future wife and pulled her out.
Turns out she had been banished from the local 'sk@nk of the isles' festival for refusing to drink buckfast and was run out of the village by the local inbreds.
We married shortly after, living in a little croft breeding farmed haggis and raising our 42 kids.
To be honest i met her in a pub i was working in, but how boring is the truth!

Hi ajk,
Thanks for responding. Wow you know I was really getting into that story and then you had to go and tell me the truth! I couldn't stop laughing to be honest! You've a great sense of humour :)
