Night person or a day person?

Hi, so do you like to stay awake at night to finish off your work or do you prefer to get up early in the morning to finish it? I've always been a night person as it helps me concentrate well when there is total silence around at night, that is when my brain works the best. Also, does being a morning person have more advantage than a night person as his mind is fresh after a good sleep or is it the other way round where the night person has the advantage of time in his hand where he can take his time to perfect his work and maybe cut his sleep short if needed. I would like to know your opinion about it and also if there are any differences between the two.

I am a night person. My family consists of seven members. In the daytime I am busy with my family chores.I have been a book lover, but can't read books on my choicest topics in the daytime.I read them at late night when all my family members are asleep.I keep awake at night, read and write articles which is my hobby. It is true that getting up early in the morning has its own benefits. You get more time to finish your works. But I feel, keeping awake at night has also its own benefits. It's the time when you can do all the works that you can't do in the daytime.

Actually I was an early morning person too,but that was when I was a primary school student.Later on my mother fell ill and I had to change my routine to look after her.I had to remain awake for the whole night continuously for seven years. That's how my habit changed.

I find that I really do the best quality of my work really early in the morning and a bit later in the evening. Everything in between those two times, it really can in fact depend right in the end. There are just some times where my quality of work really does skew a little bit earlier better and than I flame out later in the day, before picking it up. Then at other times, it picks up a steady pace but really I do not get going until later in the day. I think that there are other factors. The amount of sleep that I have, the weather that is occurring right outside, just all of those things. I think that those who are morning people can really get a jump on people a bit more, really able to get right to work, while most people are rather just having trouble just mentally shaking off those cobwebs, as they push themselves forward. I think that there really isn't too much of a difference, but I'd be inclined to state that morning would have just a tiny bit more advantage than night. If one can get the best of both, that would be better.

i think i am night person so i never come too early to bed and so naturally when i wake up in the morning sometimes i feel tired but i think is an habit that everyone has such as if a person normally come to bed erly wouldn't support the night person life and the contrary i guess..

I used to be a night dweller but now I'm a day person. Back in college, I used to go out with friends and drink all night, bar hopping, sometimes visiting night clubs to watch dancing women. It was the life. Although now, my work schedule varies, so I can't plan anything in advance. I just wait most of the time for friends to inform me when something is up.

I'm a night person, married to a day person, and somehow he won the battle. I spent years working nights, and loving it. Then I got married and now I have to be a day person and I don't function as well. I don't sleep as well, either. The great thing that I found about working nights was that I could organise my days to get things done while everyone else was at work. I still had time to get some sleep, but I just loved the freedom of it all. I did work days for a while, but it was so tedious I just couldn't do it.

I am a morning and day person. I much rather get up and get some work done around the house before I head to work for the day, than wait until I get home to do it. After I have spent 8 or more hours at work, I do not have the energy to stay up and do stuff. On a work night, I try and be in bed by 10 or 10:30. I get up between 5 and 5:30, and have time to get some laundry done, lunches made and a shower in before the rest of the household gets up.

I have been both. I like a lot of things about both. I feel refreshed when I wake up early. I also feel as if I have accomplished more. I feel healthier as well. However, staying up all night almost feels good to the "soul". I feel as if I can think in a more creative manner at night. The world is quiet and it almost feels like things have been put on "hold" for a bit. Of course, getting a good nights rest and getting up earlier is natural and healthier for our bodies and our minds.

Hello soura! I'm a night person too. I agree with you, during night time I am more progressive because the silence around that makes me concentrate straightly. However I think it would be a bad habit since staying awake till morning will weaken my body. I tried doing things done at daytime however I am more comfortable with night time because its the only time that disturbances don't occur like if mom asks me to wash plates, go buy food, and etc. Well I think, it would be better to sleep early and then wake up early in the morning. We only need practice and adjustments, because we were used to sleeping late that's why doing jobs at night made us comfortable of doing it so.

Totally a night person, I find the late hours very romantic, kind of magical with all the stars and darkness. I feel more calm and at ease. Spiritually they say as there are more people sleeping the vibration eases down, it could be true , it feels calm indeed.

I usually get more things done at night so I guess that makes me a night person.

I am also a night person as in between there is no break and at first I can complete my work and then only I will go to sleep. Most of the time I do not get sleep because of the thinking that I have to complete this work so I always prefer to complete it at the night time only. And as me not being a morning person if I leave it to do it in the morning time then I will certainly not able to do it in time.It is rightly said that at that time we can start afresh but for me it is the other way around as me not being a morning person as i don't like to wake up early in the morning.

I'm definitely a night person. If you get me up early, I'll drag around til noon. They have to notice me at work. No one says anything because I do twice as much in the afternoon. Staying up late never bothers me. Funny though, it seems most people I know are morning people. One lady gets up at 3am every morning to be at work by 8am. She goes to bed at 8pm. All I can ask is: How does she live like that???

I always wake up a little bit dumb and need coffee and a shower to start my day and really wake up. But at night I can stay up late and I don´t mind. I don´t think that being a morning person is better or worse than being a night person, unless your job call for your being with a clear head at a certain hour of the day.

I'm more of a day person, I like getting up very early in the morning to start my work. I'm not very productive in the evening, I work so slow and my time usually gets wasted, that's why I try to sleep early in the evening then get up early the next day.
