fast adaptation when moving to new town

I notice we must be adapt to new environment fastly in order to have better life.Sometimes easier to adapt in new job or office than our family member,especially our children. This happen to me before when I got new job outside town and has family benefit so that they could join me. I thought that would be easier rather than having separate life if they remain stay at hometown. Finding good school is somewhat a key for our children, we must selected more than three schools before finally found the appropriate one. Even hard but finally my children able to adapt.. I noticed we must also fastly build relationship if no friends or family in those new places. How about you? Have you ever got experiences to move to new town or country? Maybe you can share some experience?
