Veggie burgers

I recently finished a 36 day Juice fast/feast, which ever you want to call it. And have decided to go with a more vegetable rich diet afterwards. I am not going to give up meat but want to reduce it from my daily eating. I of course being an American love to eat burgers. I found a very nice black bean veggie burger recipy online that I enjoy eating. Mine is basically 1/2 a pound of black beans cooked, because the canned beans have a lot of salt in them, 3/4 of a red onion, various seasonings, and 1/2 a red bell pepper chopped up all mixed together and either lightly fried in extra virgin olive oil or cooked on the grill. My mother and nephews are the only ones i have gotten to eat them and they liked them, so they say. Does anyone else make their own veggie burgers? If so mined sharing how you make yours?

I do not eat meat burgers but a veggie one, I would like to try. There was a similar discussion here on Mylot about Indian veggie burgers sometimes back, I just hope that it will be introduced as part of fast food meal soon. I am looking forward to knowing how it is made too.

I did a search to see if there was any topics before I made this one, but it seems I did the search with the wrong tags. I did find the one you are talking about and it seems like a very nice burger and I will have to try it. It does differ from the one I eat because I use semi-mashed black beans instead of potato and I do not deep fry mine. Thanks for letting me know that was there.

I directed you to the discussion since I thought maybe somehow discussed about how to make one. Infact, I was to learn how to prepare one. How did you cook the one that you made, I really want to try cooking some day.

i think you are haveing a point by, i like the vegetables and meat also, i do not want to stop eating any of them, but of course its healthy to eat more vegetables i agree, thats nice, to do so, sometimes if i eat frutis only or just planet i do not feel that i eat and i feel hungry no matter how mcuh i eat from fruits, i think thats why we need both each with many health benefits and nothing and no body can live on one foods and be healthy, no way, i like both, thanks for the topic, have a good day
