Acta, Sopa thing, aren't they actually trying to control us and making excuses?

These Acta and non-piracy craziness it begun shutting links from google all over the internet and in many contries, do you think it's only because of piracy? They could shut down megaupload so they can shut down the major piracy sites but they are not doing that, they look for individuals. The Sopa had even an act of forcing the site to give our IP of those who downloaded, but mixed in all that mess there was the RIGHT to have the IP, isn't that spying on the public? It seems so much bigger than just piracy.

Hi katire: Actually I agree with you completely. I mean, with all the legal tools they have they can fight piracy. What they want is a total control of people they don't have because the Internet was almost completely free in the last few years and that scares the governments simply because people have a lot of power in their hands. To be fair to the "people" that created the material they do have the write to stop anyone from "stealing" form them. But when it comes to this they are going completely overboard. I see them as littel children that are pushing the limits. Children love to see what they can get away with. They keep doing more and more until they get in trouble. When they do they get mad and do their best to push harder. Most modern parents let them go ahead and do whatever they want so they will stop screaming. This is what the companies are doing to us now. We managed to derail the law they where putting in place, but they are going to use their leverage, legal action against people that are not causing the problem, to force people that are not the cause to bandage the solution. I personally download movies. A lot of the ones I do download are ones that I have bought legally, but ended up getting scratched or stolen, so yes I did pay for them at some point. The rest I am just trying out the movie. If it is good I end up buying it. If not the I refuse to support a bad company. No reason to give a company the idea that what they are making is good. I do this because if I buy a DVD and the movie such the best I can hope for is 20% by selling it to a local movie place. I can't get my money back for a bad product.
