Words mean nothing if action don't follow

words without action are meaningless, and action without words are confusing. There are lot people like that. But, you should not give up reminding him what's wrong of his actions. He's lucky you're still there and setting as a good example..

yup! that's right. it is really not possible to us when people keep on talking about how they feel, etc when they do not do something about it. its like dreaming and i mean literally dreaming or just slouching and doing nothing, hence there are nothing happening in the person's dream! Ever heard of the saying, dogs that bark don't bite? Well, i guess this is the case for the people who talks and does nothing.

Another shining example of opposites attracting? Hubby and I are both savers, we don't go mad with money and never have. Just as well, since he had to quit working when he got cancer nearly six years ago and now I'm his full-time carer. Hating people for their inabilities and flaws shows a massive flaw in yourself. There have always been blow-hards, they talk a good game but can't pitch worth beans. You just have to ignore them, it's bad for the soul to keep hating in others what you cannot change. And if you could change them? They'd probably hate you for it. It's a short time we have on this earth. Be annoyed with them, avoid them when you can, but save your hate for the ones who really need it. Trust me, they'll show up eventually. As for me, I have no idea how the heck I ended up married to a man who does not like science fiction. That is opposites attracting!

Yes agree with ya.Words mean nothing unless they are followed up by action,just like knowledge means nothing if you don't apply it.Let him spend it until it is gone when he starts starving then he will get the picture..

You should know him well by now. Why don't you try talking to him about this in a fashion that won't hurt him, or make him feel uncomfortable. It's true that it's frustrating when the one you love is that kind of person, but you can help him find something that motivates him.

Actions do speak louder than words because that is where we see what kind of person we are or someone is. If one is only full of talk and no action, you are on the losing end. It is better to live on your own or be with someone who can appreciate who you really are. It is disappointing, really. And I can relate. I get tired of hearing words / promises but I really can't feel the sincerity because there's no actions to back up those promises.

They are many people who are like that; they are better when it comes to talking about what they plan to do rather than accomplishing their plans. It is good that you are living as a good example, I hope soon that person you are living with will learn from you.

Hi Michelle, That's true. Actions speak louder than words. Consider the fact that you probably won't be able to change the person you're living with but you might be able to make a change for yourself. I would suggest that you explore your options for living somewhere else and/or with someone else because it seems like you're seriously unhappy.
