Dear Friends
I have heard that we can increase the speed of our processors by overclocking it?
I dont know how is it possible to run 2ghz processor at rate more than 2 ghz using overclocking .........
Have you ever increased speed of your processor using overclosking ......
How you accomplished it ...is it safe ?

I have overclock 2 ghz to 2.4ghz from my BIOS, you can also use software to overclocking the CPU and check the temperature after you play heavy game which mostly using processor. If more than 60 degree I don't think it will be safe, mine is under 60.

another way to make a good overclocking is modifying your cpu (central processing unit) which means you have to buy some thermal gadget which is commonly use in modified pc.. this will gave way in having a good temperature, such following link will give you some idea ...

to overclock the cpu is possible from an ahrdware but even software point of view but you must remember that normally major brands never support this work so if you want do it you will loose your warranty, mabe some brands as alienware is anaexception because they enable overclocking processor, but for other brands you will loose your warranty so you must consider also your hardware in general because overclocking the processor means arriving to high frequencies and so it can generate problems to the cooling system if it is not good enough..

Well if you get yourself a good CPU fan you can try it to overclock it, since overclocking increases the CPU temp. If you want to overclock your CPU just the way it is you shouldn't make extreme changes, just around 2.1 or 2.2 max and you should check your cpu temp after working it for a little. I have overclocked mine a Dual Core 2Ghz to 2.1 and it gets a little quicker on a couple of demanding games. That's where you'll only see some result on other things like running/copying/booting you want see much difference.

Overclocking always implies making the CPU or GPU working outside its designed specifications at a higher frequency. That's NOT a safe operation at all, and has mainly a problem that it increases the processor temperature faster than usual, which makes it prone to early failures. Specially on hot days, it can give you more problems than benefits if not used carefully. I prefer not doing it in any way, and rely on optimizations techniques for my OS and programs to get higher performance.
