Japanese movie starring Masaki Okada and Mao Inoue. A boy is diagnosed with a heart condition that requires care from a cardiologist. He becomes friends with his doctor's young daughter Mayu while being treated at the hospital. They both overhear the doctor saying Takuma's will most likely die before 20. At 8-years-old he makes a promise to marry Mayu when they turn 20. Later in life, Takuma becomes aware that he wont be able to keep this promise and he begins distancing himself from Mayu in hopes of protecting her... it is a really sad story but really worth watching too. It's really hard to know that someone you love will leave you behind..

Hi Lady!!!!!
I've had this movie in my computer for a while now but I haven't watched it!!!! I just became a fan of Masaki Okada so I downloaded a lot of his movies and dramas and this movie was one of them. I watched the others first and I've been delaying watching this because I sort of got tired of Inoue Mao.
Anyway, from what I've read, the story is really sad. I'm sure to shed tears again probably from watching another Japanese movie. There's another movie which stars Okada and Keiko Kitagawa. I can't remember its title but it's also drama, you might want to check it. I also have it in my computer but I haven't watched it, too! LOL

An inspiring movie indeed. Imagine how an 8 year old boy to young to know about love and caring, promises to marry a girl his age when they reach the age 20. And because of this love, knowing that he won't able to fulfill his promise to the girl distances himself to protect her from being hurt. Sacrifices are made because of love.
