opinion of playing chess

hello friends, do you like playing chess? if you like when did you start to learn playing chess? ok, there are some people said, playing chess is wasting your time, and playing chess is the character of lazy people i don't care about the people said about chess, i think they didn't know what the benefits they get after playing chess. playing chess that train you for analyzing, management, strategy, and mental. if you played every day your ability will be improve. it's not long to learn playing chess, i learn it just see the people playing on the street. no long i just need 1 months to learn it.
how about you, what do you know about chess?

i love playing chess i sometimes play online against other people and i think that its a brilliant way to relax, meet people and keep your brain active. I learned to play chess when i was about 10 years old my dad taught me to play though he is a lot better than i am.

my cousins and my siblings taught me how to play chess when i was in my high school. i played chess with them but they're too good for me i can't defeat them...

I learned chess at the age of 8 but just played it seriously when I was in college. I became an official player of my university when I was in my 2nd year and played for that school till I graduated. But when I started working and got a family, I was forced to put chess aside because of more urgent priorities. Now that I'm retired, my passion for chess has returned. Thanks to modern technology, I need not go out to look for opponent. There are several websites now where you can play live online. You may chance upon me there playing under the same username JBAS.
