Not all people preferred to rent a gown rather than own and have design on it. Especially if it was done from high end industry or fashion designer. Both debut and weddings are once in a lifetime event that is why ladies would prefer to have their own gown to wear during the event. However I am wondering what did you to your gown after your day? Did you sell or rent it to others? Or do you just display it?

That is good idea that you can rent it especially for a fact that you will never use it again not unless if you are going to do some innovative ways in order for you to wear that again.

Yes, and with renting, I can get to wear a very nice gown for a cheaper cost. Because it would be much cheaper to rent it because I am only going to use it for one night, that to hire a designer to design it for me. We are not that rich.
But I am proud to say, that I am very much happy with the gown I wore on my debut.

At least you gave it to someone else and it was not thrown away or went into nothing.

That is great idea
So my advise there is you should take care of your gown so that you can still use it. And I think even if that could be decades more then you can have dry clean for that.

My wedding gown? I am actually keeping it, I don't want others to even use it because for me my wedding gown is sacred, and I can actually give it to my daughter after, if she gets married she can use it if she wants, or I can lend it to my close friends or to my sister hehehe I am just not comfortable lending it to just anyone...I want those who will use it will be able to take good care of it as I have and to those who I am comfortable with.

I understand how much you want to take care of it because that is really considered as valuable material. That is good strategy if you still want to lend it for someone you know rather than the stranger. I agree that must be really sacred wherein you worn that during the time that your love ones had been together.

I didn't wear a gown when I got married. I wore a pair of jeans, cowboy boots, a red long sleeved button up shirt, and a cowgirl hat. It was quite fun, I just hate dresses. I will wear them when my friends get married, but for my own? I said no.

So where did you get married? Is that civil, garden or church wedding? Good thing you were able to wear whatever you want and nobody forces you not to wear that. Because you know we have just the same feeling because I hate wearing dress too but then if I am going to be like that then somebody will stop and still force me to wear the dress if that is not the gown. I am not a gown person as well that is why when I had my debut I just worn a simple dress. If I am going to get married someday then I will not wear gown too so that it won't be a waste.
