I have had a lot of problems with my computer lately. Sometimes , I wish I could just go out and buy a new one but I can't afford it right now besides my husband doesn't even like computers and would probably nix the idea, right now, maybe he'll agree once the business gets on betting financial footing. Anyway, my computer just blanks out sometimes or sometimes it just doesn't want to boot up. It's frustrating at times. It's slow sometimes too or the websites are, not sure which or both.
Just venting, sorry, are you having problems too, just wondering, MY Lot, friends!

I'm not sure when your computer problems started but beginning sometime last week there were a lot of strange happenings in the world of technology due to the planet Mercury being in retrograde. This will be in effect until April 4th I am told.
I have been having problems with my laptop. Particularly my battery is not charging. Fortunately I usually use my laptop plugged in. It never occurred to me to not put the battery in if I wasn't using it. Anyway, I went to where I bought the computer and had to order a new battery for $100+. They told me that my laptop and battery were old enough that they were surprised my battery lasted this long. However, if when I get a new battery and that doesn't appear to be the problem then I continue as is (always plugged in), or purchase a new laptop. I can't afford that at this time as I am saving for a trip to Hawaii that I have already booked. I don't need anything breaking down right now.
Good luck.

it may not work but you could try brushing of the pings that connected your battery to your computer, it may help or in your case it could just be the main board of your compute that is going bad try using it without the battery and see if it runs ok.

First and foremost, I wish you good luck in convincing him to get you a new computer. Tell him with it you will be able to keep better financial records of the business. Now about your computer, websites are never slow, it is your internet provider who is

Hi ecaron.
I would try a restore. If you have anything important on there you might want to put it on disc,
also do you have a good antivirus?
I took mine in January. They installed a malware and antispyware also so I run both of them once a week,
also it might be running slow because you need to clean up your disc space.
that is found in your control panel.
If everything is still running slow take your computer in.
I usually take mine in every 6 months just to make sure its in good running performance.
I have to take it in soon as my antivirus just went out and I did not want to use the program I had. I am going to let them install a virus protector for me.
I do this and let the techs put in what I need as I know they know my computer on the inside
Good Luck don't fall for those scams that they do those checks and scare the heck out of ya. you will have like hundreds of viruses and you so need their program NOT!

has your computer been cleaned in a while, I mean the dust and dirt that will get into the computer after a while. also run a good antivirus and spyware program and do a defrag too.

It seems like a software problem which is coming from the operating system. I don't have such problem, but the best bet is to re - install the operating system whatever you have there. I am not expert on computer repair, but whenever my pc has issue, I try to fix it myself.

my PC at work too is malfunctioning since yesterday. it will shut down automatically and i don't know why. then i try to download a new antivirus scanner. after several hours of downloading due to slow internet connection, i did it. and the new virus scanner found 3 malicious files on my PC that the old antivirus software does not detect. oh well, its like magic, after the files were quarantine, my PC won't shutdown automatically.

reinstalling the operating system sounds like a good idea but you will have data lost and all that giving that your also seeing where the screen blanks out time to time it could be that your RAM is going bad as if your RAM is bad the screen will not display anything at all.. it may just need to clean and do a reload of the OS
