Don't believe Chlorox Ad

I saw an ad for the Chlorox toilet wand today and they said if you didn't like it as always you could get your money back. Don't believe them. I tried this product some time back and it just plain didn't work. It was uncomfortable to use because of the the shape which did not fit your hand well. It did not clean the toilet well, not at all really. So I called them about it. They required me to send the whole thing to them at my expense as if they wanted to check if it was faulty or something when I explained my problems with it as above and that I didn't like it. They said the only way to get a refund was to send it to them. So I did that at my own expense and never heard from them again.

Did you contact them after you sent it back at your own expense and tell them you did what they required to no avail? I'd be so frustrated! If you belong to any other sites, I'd post about it there too. Some companies randomly search for references to their products, so if they come across complaints, maybe someone will finally pay attention.

I have done this with some products but didn't have to send the whole entire thing back to them. usually you can send a UPC symbol or proof of purchase with receipt if you still have it and they might refund your money in a check form. I have done this several times, twice with some huge packages of chicken from Costco that either had looked strange or the bag had holes in it. Plus there have been other things, but always have been honest about it, I don't want to steal things in this way. Thanks for the head sup about that Clorox product, how long did you wait for them to send anything back? Did you try using something as simple as baking soda to clean the toilet, soak it in the toilet for maybe overnight and you can scrub it a little in the morning or let it stay in there for at least a few hours without disturbing it ( maybe before going out for awhile) and it will be nice and clean.

I have complained about many products that were faulty or had some kind of problem and all but one other one either just sent me check or replacement coupon. The other one actually sent a replacement coupon and additional coupons and then sent a postage paid envelope for me to send the product in to them. Most companies I have had a problem with their products have been very good about making things right.

Oh OK, I'm glad you had those other companies respond in a better way than this one, sometimes there is just one bad apple in the bunch though like this Clorox wand.

Hi Stealthy, Hmm...Chlorox is a big name brand so this kind of surprises me. As another responder said, usually a reciept and UPC code is enough to get a refund if you need one. It kind of makes me wonder if it was really the Chlorox company. I have never heard of this wand. How much did you pay for it? I'd get a number off from a bottle of Chlorox bleach and call them or look for their website and publically put out a complaint.

How did you send it? If it was by mail, then you should have paid a little extra to get a tracking number. (If you sent it by UPS or FEDEX, they should have given you a receipt with a tracking number.) Checking the tracking number would tell you when the item was delivered and give you proof that it was returned. Also, you should have sent it directed to the person that you spoke to on the phone that way you have someone to chase after to follow.

I've seen those type of commercials. The ones that promise to give your money back if they don't work. I've always been skeptical about how honest they were about that, and now I see that they're full of crap. They may eventually give your money back, but at a huge hassle to you. They're hoping you won't go through the hassle and they won't have to send you a refund. Good luck.
