i do not know if this is ony local or not but tonight i went outside to see what the weather people were talking about and i was able to see Venus very well it was very nice and bright right close to the cresent moon. And if you looked farther in the sky to the bottom right you would see Jupitar it isnt as bright but it is there :) i saw them all and tomorrow they will be there but more in a line. this is so kool.
the thing i am excited about is on June 5th venus will transit (cross in front of) the sun. this will be the Last transit of venus during our LIFETIMES!!!! i will stay up all night just to see this
how about you will you stay up to see this?
or have you seen it before?
what do you think of this?

Yes, this looks exciting. However, I'm a little confused at the times. It says it starts around 4pm in Denver, ends at 4:30 but is at it's peak at 7:30? Plus, if it is in daylight, what exactly will I see?
I've been seeing the alignment with Jupiter for about a week. Somebody posted some amazing pictures. I'm out in the country so the night sky should be rather lit up.

it might mean 4 pm to 4:30 am so at its peak would be at 7:30 pm. i am not sure about how to see it at daylight.
i know with you being out of the country the times it would happen would be diffrent. when they say it starts at it usually means for somewhere but that also depends on where you hear it from as to if its the local news or not. i havent looked yet tonight but without a telescope its not as neat as the cross over will be :)

Wow this is super cool. I've been so fascinated by this things. I love the space and planets and the stars. And whenever there are some thing like this that will happen. I will try my best to see it with my own eyes. I also like some eclipse. I've seen it like 2 times in my life time. LOL. Thanks for the info.

Scientist told me i don't need telescope to take a peek at Venus, it is bright compare to the rest of the planets and about the same size as earth. Venus is a pretty planet to observe in a cloudless night from earth... watching it go on transit sure sound very interesting, i will keep that in mind.

I'm a huge astronomy buff, so naturally I'll be staying up all night to see the transit of Venus on the sun. It's definitely something anyone vaguely interesting in astronomy should see. But for anyone who isn't too familiar, I'd suggest getting some special glasses (the kind you'd use during a solar eclipse); it's dangerous to look at the sun with your naked eye!

When i read your discussion i went outside to look for myself that is so kool. I didnt now anything about that. I only saw they moon and Venus. I couldnt see Jupiter because of all the trees and stuff in the way. Thanks for the info about that. That was really kool to go out and look at.

i actually accidently found that lol. i hear ya on the i usually go to the website to find the weather and then i just happened to see that haha.
lol i know i almost forgot about it. my neighbor reminded me after i told her about it. i saw all 3 but it was very hard to see jupiter because of the trees around here also. tomorrow night it should still be there and be a little easier to see i think i read that it is spose to be in a line. i thought that it was pretty cool myself lol i am excited to see it pass over the sun lol it will be so awesome and it will be the only chance i will get to see it :) you want me to remind you so you can check it out.
