HELP: How should I raise funds to pay hospital bills?

Here in our country, not all people have health insurance. It is even a great asset to have one. My family, though not poor, can only sustain our daily needs and can buy some things we like at least a few times in a year. However, just a few days ago, my grandmother has been hospitalized. In fact, until now she's still in the hospital trying to recover. She's undergone a surgery to remove the blood clots in her brain. If not because of a family friend who lend us some money, we could never afford to pay for the surgery. But still, she's still confined in the hospital the bills are still increasing. Everyone in the family, my uncles and aunts are starting to contribute to pay the bills. Yet, we know that the funds we have are not yet enough. I just want to ask the people here in mylot on how I can help in our family. I have a little amount of money saved which I am very much will to contribute so that my grandmother's recovery will be assured. Please everyone, how can I raise funds to contribute in paying the hospital bills? I've heard about raising funds online but I don't know how to do or if that will work.
