"Journalist Mikael Blomkvist is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing for forty years by Lisbeth Salander, a young computer hacker." This was a pretty good movie although it was very, very long, I think all the scenes were important and had to be put in the movie. I just didn't like the ending- but it was realistic..I loved the twist too- although it was a bit obvious who the killer was.

I have not seen both movies. I heard the Swiss version was better than the American version. But if ever, I would like to see both. There is also a book available, which is where the movie was based I believe.

Yeah, I read that a lot too- but they usually say all European stuff are better than American stuff. I am planning to see the original if I ever find a copy of it. I hope they still make the sequels (American version).

The Swedish version has 3 movies already, all in one year, I guess. The American version only has the first, but maybe they'd have a sequel, n date yet though. Maybe they'd even wait for Daniel to be in it since he will make another Bond movie first.

Is there a sequel? What's the title? I have to see both version to decide which is better.

Yes, I have watched the movie because of Daniel. I find him too energetic in his Bond films but this one is different. I find the movie time long too but it guess it is needed to give credit to the writer's detailed description of the story.

Yeah, the movie was really long, maybe he didn't want to miss lots of important stuff in the book. I wish Harry Potter movies were as long as this...since they always cut out come important parts in the HP movie.

Well, I almost watched this one. It was on my Netflix list and was ready to get it next. Now there is a 'long wait' on it. Ugh! Oh well. Long one huh? With a twist. Interesting.

Probably because it would cost to send the movies back and forth and cost even more to open a movie warehouse there. Have fun!

I looked up Netflix since lots of people always said they watched movies there.. Too bad it is not available in my country. I wonder why... Oh well, I will just get back to downloading movies.

You should definitely get a copy of this or just rent it, it was released for quite long time already, i am sure a copy is already out there. I am also planning n watching the original one which already finished all 3 books and made them into movies.

Yeah, the twist was quite good...didn't rally expect that, but I loved the ending it was quite happy...But what happened with Lisbeth was not so good- I kind of hated Mikael because of that...but oh well, any sane man would do that.

I have the book already but I do not have time to read now. In a few days I am going to read the book. I heard that the book is good, and better that the movie.

Yeah, the books are always better than the movie I guess. But since they made the movie, I think it'll be easier to imagine the characters and what is happening in he book.

I am planning to watch the Swedish version too since I heard many good reviews about it, I think all of the reviews were positive. I hope the movie is not that long though- it was hard to watch it for 2 hours and 30 minutes..

I have not seen this movie but it sounds good. the title indicates that the film is boring and not just another series. I think I look and watch it. thanks for the discussion. nice day!

You should try and see it, it is available in dvds and even for downloads...It's better to see both versions though, the American and Swedish... I hope you enjoy watching it.
