I have not seen the cartoons, but I have read all the Tintin comic books and I remember I met Hergé once when I was a kid -- thanks to my father who had a good friend working for Casterman, his publisher in France --. He did not let me a great impression, though I was happy to have shake hands with the father of Tintin. At this moment I was not aware of his troubled past during the war...

I met him in Paris at the beginning of the 1970's, and he was already an old man not really drawing anymore -- Tintin and the Picaros was not published yet, but I think the book was in his boards and not published since years --, but still earning a good income from the Tintin comic books.

Hiya adhyz,
Tintin was one of my favourite Cartoons. Have not seen it in 3D yet but that must be nice to go and see.
Lots of us kids used to watch this on the Television and even when our Kids were very small too.
Tintin has always been one of the most popular Cartoons all around the World.

Hiya adhyz,
Apart from that the Adventures of Tintin on the Television as Cartoons have always been great.
If I can get to a Cinema I will try and see it. Most Cinemas are closing very fast here now.
Quite a few Cartoons never got to be that famous but they were equally as good and I don´t see them now at all.xxx

I read Tintin when I was in Junior High School. I like it at the first time I read it. I like Captain Haddock for his bad words, I like Professor Calculus for his brain but he forgets something easily and I also like the twin detective, Thomson and Thompson. I had some of Tintin comics at that time but I dont have one of them todag cos I didnt take care of them well. and now I regret it cos today the comic costs very expensive. about watching the movie, I'm not interested at all cos I prefer reading to watching..:)

That's why I like reading better than watching. It always happens to me that I always feel disappointed whenever I watch movie from comic or novel I ever read. I ever read a novel titled 'The Devil Wears Prada'. I enjoyed it very much cos the conflict is so exciting. But when I watched the movie, I was so disappointed cos the conflict is not as exciting as in the novel. whereas the movies became a box office and so booming. but I didn't enjoy it at all. and it often happens to me. so I decide that I won't watch movie which I ever read the novel before. yeah, not all movies taken from a novel is not interesting. there are some which both the movie and the novel are interesting, such as The Bone Collector (starred by Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie), the movie is so awesome and the novel is so breathtaking. LOL. And I also like all movies were taken from John Grisham's novel, such as The Firm (starred by Tom Cruise), A Time to Kill (starred by Matthew McConaughy and Samuel L. Jackson), Pelican Brief (starred by Julia Roberts), The Client (starred by Susan Sarandon) and etc. I like John Grisham and I enjoy both reading his novel and watching movies which taken from his novel..

Yes, i read their comic series when i'm a kid. I like those cute characters in it, as well as their adventures. Though it wasn't really appealing but tintin is the first comic i came across and that certainly leaves a lasting impression on me. Even when i'm reading them at a young age, i didn't follow the series. I only read up whenever i'm at the library, if there happen to have new series. As for the movie, i shall give it a miss because i don't want it to spoil tintin's image in me.
