I just asked permission from my boyfriend's mother if I can let him go with me on a family vacation.. Is there something wrong with it?? I was the one who did the deed instead of my boyfriend himself.. Do you think that's just fine?? What do you guys think??

I think its ok to ask for your boyfriend's parents permission. But is it fine with your boyfriend? There is always some sort of an ego to men. It is sweet of you to do that but does your boyfriend appreciates it?

Maybe this was not a problem for him as I asked his permission first prior to asking his mom.. I don't think it bothered him..

It's better to ask for persmission (depends on the age but still) as not to ask at all. I don't think it's wrong but I do wonder why your bf did not do it himself. Is he afraid, not interested to go or?

He is actually interested to go.. It's just that it will be Holy week soon and his family wants to spend the holidays with him, too.. I also understand his part but I just want to try.. Maybe his mom will let him go..

if boy does not want to go with you .. you cannot say to his mother he should go with you .. you should say to your friend he get trust of her family and than will go with you .!

I think you are a strong, intelligent woman, and that itself might intimidate some males. The fact that you took the initiative and asked for his parents’ permission tells me you have strong feelings for him. In this case, some males might feel offended, thinking they are not as manly, or should have asked their parents themselves. Mostly it`s pride. Once your boyfriend thinks about the situation, he will no doubt appreciate you that much more.
