I just baked this ube chiffon cake.. It smelled great before I placed it in the oven, but as soon as I took it out, I can smell the egg.. There was no vanilla added in the recipe that I followed.. Could that be the reason?? Can anyone suggest a better Ube Chiffon Cake recipe that smells good and taste at the same time??

Did you taste it? I mean did it come out bad tasting? You might just want to add a little flavoring to the recipe you have if the taste isn't too off.

actually, I haven't tasted it yet since it was still hot from the oven when I posted this.. But the smell was the one that bothered me.. I will try to see if the taste is ok or not..

I have done some recipe researching, and this one seems to be a hit. Just follow the recipe to the letter, and you will enjoy this every time you make it. I noted you stated the lack of vanilla in the last recipe, that might have been the problem. Here is the recipe for you to try. Enjoy!
