Hiya syoti,
Sorry I don´t know what an N.B.I. clearance is. So I cannot tell you anything about it either.
Is that something to do with Taxes or something or I am completely of track there?
Sounds like I have got off Track to do with Identity Cards?
Give up then I will read what others are saying here to see if I can get to know what it is all about.
Hope you get your information.xxx

Hiya wittynet,
Now I understand what you mean we have a similar kind of thing here which are called Antecedentes Penales but you don´t have to renew them all the time.
Luckily if the sheet of the Antecedentes is clean you will have not much problem of getting a Job in that sense.
Finding a Job right now is the very big problem indeed.
I can understand why they do that in your Country as well as the Boss has a right to know who he is taking on to work for him.
Good idea just a bit of a nuiscance to have to keep renewing it I suppose unless they renew them quickly?.
Thank you very much for being so informative witty have a great Week.xxx

Hello, lovina! You're from other country, so it's understandable that you don't know what NBI clearance is. NBI means National Bureau of Investigation. This clearance is good for 1 year only. After a year, we need to renew it if there's a need to. We usually renew our NBI clearance if we're applying for a new job. It's always one of the important requirements that employer asks hired employees to submit before they can start working. This is to ensure that the employee has no bad record. If in case the employee has a pending case in court, he can't be issued an NBI clearance not unless he proved that he's not that person or not unless the case has been settled.

I got my new NBI clearance last year & they didn't ask for any requirements.Since yours is a renewal, maybe you should bring your old NBI clearance. If you live in NCR,SM & Robinsons Malls have NBI booths.

hi syoti20.
got my nbi clearance earlier this month. i went to their main office in taft avenue cor u.n. avenue. anyway, bring a pen, money to pay for the clearance, and a valid ID. go there only so you have a better chance of getting your clearance on the same day. i completed the process that same day but had to go back after a couple of days to get my nbi clearance. i was there at ten am and was finished by three in the afternoon.
you'll be asked to line up and fill up a form. once you've filled that up, a nbi personnel will check the form and ensure that all the entries are correct. you then line up again to pay. processing fee is Php115 for a local nbi cleareance. i think they charge higher if you're getting one to travel/work abroad. after making a payment, you then go to the biometrics section. this is where they take your picture and finger prints. after wards, if you made it for the cut-off for the day, you get your nbi clearance, if not, just like what i wrote earlier, you need to come back on a pre-determined date to claim you nbi clearance. what is important is you come in at an early time. also, bring a book or magazine along to keep you from getting bored while lining up. the lines are loooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg! bring something to eat and drink as well as you might get hungry and thirsty while completing the process.
hope this helps.
do post it here in mylot how it went. i;m sure it will be good for a discussion.
cheers!!!

Just like what other mylotters wrote, bring your old clearance two valid ID's, NSO Birth Certificate, have a photocopy of those requirements and of course, money to pay. If you are near Robinson's Galleria better go there as early as possible since they have cut-off, they only cater 500 applicants per-day. Usually the cut-off time of giving numbers ends as early as 8am-people go there as early as 3am to be on the first batch.

Since it's just a renewal the processing could be done in a few hours. Just bring your old NBI clearance, money and of coarse your ID.

I did some research and it seems they have updated some things in accordance to obtaining NBI clearance. This link http://www.nbi.gov.ph/nbcs/FAQ.pdf Is there FAQ`s (Frequently Asked Questions) regarding the matter. I would advise going on to their website, calling, or going in person and speaking with someone to identify everything you need.
