When you'll sleep how can you dream?

I found myself that I wasn't dreaming "anything" in the past two mounts.I was wondering why I don't dream? Now that I'm lately tired of the reality I try to sleep and dream but what I see is nothing, blank and black.I only fell asleep and see light in the morning. What can the cause be from preventing me from dreaming or is it something else?

Are you sure you really aren't dreaming or do you always immediately get out of bed when you wake up?
Try to stay abed for a while after waking up naturally. Just lay down still and you'll remembers tid bits and pieces of dreams. I don't think there's a human who does not dream. As long as you are intelligent enough, you'll dream enough...

You do not have an alarm clock that will wake you up, do you? Because if you do, you tend to be surprised from your dreams and memories of it will fly away.

You are dreaming, unless you are mental unable to dream, then you'd be very ill.
The fact is that your dream state is just so deep that it is not reaching your conscious mind. You are sleeping very deeply right now. Don't worry it will come back when you are fully rested.

It's impossible to make or to produce a dream. Dream is a random thing that appears out of nowhere when you sleep. You can't decide what you want to dream. Especially when you are really tired, it is hard for you to dream about something. You'll be sleeping like a deadman.

One misunderstanding is that you will remember your dreams. This is not true, We actually go thru 4 different phases of sleep. Something interesting to remember is that your last thoughts before you fall asleep are incorporated into your first dreams. Also that the very first thing you remember when waking up would be the last thing you dreamt about. Our dreams in general last anywhere from 5-10 minutes up to around 45 minutes.
