so why aren't the people wanting to jail Zimmerman for the shooting of Trayvon acting like it's American where every person is innocent until proven guilty?
In all the marching and demanding that Zimmerman be put under the jail, not one of the marchers has mentioned these few facts:
Zimmerman had a broken nose from being hit.
Zimmerman had a bloody back of his head from having it slammed on the pavement.
Zimmerman may have shot in self defense because he was attacked.
Although Trayvon had Skittles and ice tea in his hands, there were drugs in his pocket.
I am not saying Zimmerman was right to follow Trayvon, but there is no evidence that he attacked first and plenty that he was attacked.
The police are investigating, but currently have NO EVIDENCE that Zimmerman pulled the trigger for any other reason than that he was physically attacked first.
No matter what was said on the tapes reporting the incident, the physical evidence tells a different story than that coming from black leaders and the news media.
Is anyone in this country REALLY interested in the truth? Or, do we just go off half-cocked and create havoc?

The fact is that anyone else would have been arrested/taken into custody while evidence was gathered. That did not happen to Zimmerman. That is what has everyone so upset. He was involved in a shooting; but, was never detained in anyway.
Even if you shoot someone who is breaking into your home, the police will normally take you into custody. They will release you later if the evidence proves you were right; but, you will be detained first. This did not happen to him.
Because of this, everyone is worried that he may be getting away with killing someone in what may not have been self defense. If the police will go ahead and arrest/detain him while they investigate the evidence, the incident will die down.

That is what has me worried. The media and the black leaders are going out of their way to make certain this is held as a hate/race crime when it isn't. They are skewing the facts or flat out not relating them if the facts take heat away from the story.
As I said in another post, there was a case in Tennessee where a white couple was carjacked, kidnapped, beaten, raped, tortured, murdered and the woman had household products poured in all body cavities WHILE SHE WAS STILL ALIVE. The attorney for the black men and woman who committed the crime said they should be given leniency and forgiven because they had bad childhoods. Very little was written after the initial crime was discovered. No one marched on Washington, New York, California or any other place. They waited for the law to do its job and justice was finally handed out, but it does not happen overnight.

It was not really "self defense" though - was it. The "self defense" law says that you can "stand your ground" - it does not say you can follow someone around and harass them. And, the police actually told Zimmerman NOT to follow the "suspect".

What gets me most about this entire incident is that Zimmerman is being twisted into a pure Anglo white Klansman without a hood. People refer to him as "white Hispanic" because he's half white. It's all to make it a black vs. white beef.
I don't mind this standard. It doesn't really matter to me other than the ridiculousness of it. But by this same standard, America's still patiently waiting for its first black president. At the moment, there's just another white guy in there, following a long line of white elites.
Perhaps Zimmerman is guilty. Perhaps justice is required. But often times when the Dancing Sharptons start demanding justice, we find out that the person was innocent.
I can see it from both sides here. There is a strong possibility that had Zimmerman been black and Martin been white, Zimmerman would be locked up. However, that possibility was much stronger in 1962. In 2012, it's something that's happening with far less frequency. And I know one can argue with me about innocent this and misidentified that, but that's an entirely different debate on the merits of the law enforcement identification process and how people choose to present themselves.
I've heard three times today something I hadn't heard before. I thought Zimmerman had spied Martin from his porch, called the police, and then continued following him after he was told not to do so. But, assuming the story is true (I've heard so many versions already!), Zimmerman was prowling around in his SUV and then did not follow Martin when he was told not to. But as Zimmerman went to get back into his truck and leave, Martin accosted him and began the attack, then an eye witness saw him being attacked.
I don't know yet. But neither does anyone else but Zimmerman and possibly the eye witness.
So we'll see. Until then, I won't put him under the jail. I won't give him a hood and a wooden cross to burn.

Yahoo is running an article in which they give the name of a 13-year-old witness to the shooting. To me, that is just an irresponsible act on the part of the media. First they help to create a tense and dangerous situation, then they start giving out names of witnesses. Totally irresponsible.
The police report from that night is now available online. I linked to it in my latest discussion. It supports the self-defense story that Zimmerman's lawyer gave out.

I just want those who call themselves leaders to calm this down instead of heating it up and they refuse to do it. They are so hungry to have their not so pretty faces on the front pages that they add unnecessary fuel to a fire raging out of control.

And will Yahoo be held accountable if something happens to this witness? It's a felony to tamper with witneses isn't it? Will there be a Congressional Hearing on this?
I heard this morning that the head of the New Black Panther Party has been arrested for calling for the kidnapping of George Zimmerman. He traveled across state lines to do so, wonder if our Department of Justice is going to do anything about this? The same Dept. of Justice that allowed them to intimidate voters the last election.

hi msticmaggie I have not read about this but from what you say it sounds like Zimmerman may have acted in self defense. sure killing is always wrong but if he felt he was fighting for his life he'
may be exonerated. hey not all Americans go off half coc ked
I am one and I do not do that.[

And it is appreciated, Hatley. When things like this happen, it does not do the victim any good, but can lead to riots that destroy businesses and people who had absolutely nothing to do with the incident.

This would not be the first case where verbal evidence and physical evidence do not seem to coincide with each other, but rather tell a completely different story. Social media today is not the most trusted source for “News”, Meaning people have a tough believing what they are being told is true. History has shown that the truth most definitely comes out, it is simply a question as to when? We will have to wait and see.
