What to do with my life...

I am coming up on a point where I am going to have to move back in with my mother in order to survive in college. This will require a 30 mile round trip drive everyday to be able to get back and forth to school. I have a nice little scooter that get 70ish miles to the gallon so that is not a major issue there when it comes to the gas. By doing this I will be able to help relieve some of the pressure she has with money. She only gets x amount from disability and lives very sparsely due to that. By paying her rent that is about 1/2 of what my total bills currently are, she will be able to save/ buy random crap, and I will be able to get my truck paid off.
Should I move back in to do this, or should I stay where I am and hope I get enough saved up in time to do it. The amount I am going to save is not a lot, and will most likely get most spent on a good camera and a new car/motorcycle for me. I am really wanting to get into travel blogging so I can see the world, so learning to live on a smaller budget would help me figure out if I want to do that before I finish school.

The only two things I could think of that would be a worry is transportation, if you say the scooter would work for you, then it's just safety.
Now the other thing is getting along with your mother. However, if this allows you to pay off your truck, get done with school and save for your own place then i'd say so be it.
