Social pressure and the need to be ....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-15262680 describes some of the challenges in conforming with the expectations of others... Pressure similar to these keep people or even families from being what they are. e.g. if a family had children, it should not matter if they are sons or they are daughters. What do you think?

Not only is this extremely sad in and of itself but the fact that the country's leaders - the people who COULD actually change the way their culture sees these things - knuckle under and do it is even worse. Bad things will continue to happen unless good people stand up to be counted and try to change them.

Just to survive of what the other people will say about their situation, they made a wrong and selfish decision for their children. We are here in this world to live not to survive.
