Hello, igatiful_badass. I'll be going home on Saturday. Our province is Batangas. The only celebration that I know in our barangay is this "Pabasa ng Pasyon." In my case, I'll be going home to do general cleaning and to visit my parents and relatives. One week is not enough for me to clean the whole house though I already cleaned it last January.

I'm staying in Pampanga right now, and for this years Holy Week I really wanted to go home to Pangasinan and have my much-awaited vacation. But I'm just hoping for that cause I'm also taking care of my nephew here and I can't just leave him cause his Mom is so busy with work, always on-call and she's having duty in the hospital most often than not. But if I am given the chance to go home, we will definitely do the same traditions we grew up with. Our side of the family is a bit religious and we don't go to beaches or have a grand vacation during the Holy Week just like what most of the Filipinos do nowadays. Usually we go on vigils, processions, "pabasa", witnessing plays and re-enactions of the passion of Christ, watching religious movies and "Bisita Iglesia's wherein we visit a lot of churches and say our prayers and repentance to our dear Father, Jesus Christ and Mama Mary. And lastly we often celebrates Easter as much as celebrating the Christmas Season. I still remember my dad telling us that celebrating Easter is a bit more important than Christmas. :) Lenten Season really is of great help and reminds us to reflect on our life and how we go about in improving it according to the will of our Lord. :)

I like the idea of doing the traditional thing during this lenten season. Me going to shrine on Good Friday to do a way of the cross. My son enjoy it when we do it. Hope you can go to home this long weekend to celebrate the old fashion way of HOly week.

Hi there, I would be very busy in the church, being in charge of the overhead projection system, other than that, I would be spending the whole time watching religious movies on my new 24-inch Sanyo 24K50(W/S) LCD TV. Cecil de Mille's The Ten Commandments and Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ are alreafy on the shelf ready to be run when the time comes. I had seen them before but not on an LCD screen, it would be a whole new viewing experience then, that is, if I'll not be sidetracked to go somewhere else by my kids who constantly bugged me to go to the beach just a few minutes walk away from the house.

We were supposed to go to Laguna with my cousins but since they are too busy to respond to my emails, maybe this plan will be cancelled. I see myself staying at home and watching religious movies all throughout Lent season. My family is not really religious so most of the Lent season, we simply stay at home and do nothing.

We just went to church on Palm Sundays. And since last week we haven't eaten meat yet so it's full two weeks without meat but I don't mind since I am fond of eating vegetables and fruits.

i am already in my province- so no need to go anywhere else, but i do have some relatives in other provinces..but we don't have money to go anywhere. I feel guilty since I don't even have any plans for the Holy Week, I've just been lazing around and doing nothing for God..

At this early, i have planned to go to my hometown comes 5th & 6th of April and back at home by the 7th until 9th. My husband will be left home to guard the house. But i am also thinking, if it would be 7 & 8th instead that i go to my hometown, because i don't want to leave my husband alone at home on the 6th, because it could also be our bonding time, since we are always at our respective jobs. But i do hope i can go home to our hometown where my parents and sister are. Anyway, it's just a 30 minute ride from there, so i can just ride those jeepneys easily.
