Like any other mom, I am very proud of my daughter's performance in school. She's in the top 5 from among a hundred first graders in their school. Her being the youngest pupil, as she entered grade 1 at age 5, didn't hinder her from becoming one of the best in school. Congratulations to my baby girl.

Congratulations! I know how proud you are of your little girl. It's so exciting when our kids excel in school. You must have been right there with her teaching her good study habits so you deserve a pat on the back also. Hope she continues to do well in school.

Her study habit is actually not yet fully developed. I don't push her nor force her to study for I know she is not that mature yet. I am grateful that she is attentive in class that she remembers her lessons that I don't have to let her study for hours. In due time, I am sure she will be able to develop her study habit.
Thank you carol...

This is wonderful, make sure you make a really big deal of it. I would get her a blue ribbon and take a picure to frame or put in a book. These kind of things instills self confidence in a child and all children need that reinforced as often as possible. Blessings

That is wonderful news. I am happy to hear that. Children today are way ahead of us years ago. I know because my children are light years ahead of me and they are still very young. I can only imagine where they will go in this world.

Of course, you should be proud of your child's performance in school!
However, from the wording in your post, it sounds as if you are making a competition of things your child accomdplishes or not. You must be careful of this attitude as it could lead your child to make a competition of everything in her life and not learn how to excel at things just for the pleasure of pleasing herself, not the rest of the world!
Also, don't fool yourself; there will be many times during this child's life when she will greatly disappoint you as well as make you proud!
I have raised three sons - two of them are 50 and 47 at this time. I lost the other at the age of almost 21; I am proud of what he accomplished in his short life. The two living sons: the older is becoming a missionary to Africa and the younger is a successful family businessman. Hopefully, I can now relax and say that I am extremely proud of them.
