It is the key to understand what is the purpose of law, why was it created by society and preventing more anarchy. So guys, in your own word, How do you define deterrence, rehabilitation, protection, and punishment? Is it all legit?

It is legit here, if that's what you're asking. The law was originated from long before when people have more free will compared today. If you think about it, there will always be a first time for anything, including murder. I guess when humans first discovered murder, that's when the law was created.

Why would I need to explain each of my words. Just go grab a dictionary for it if you don't understand something. I didn't even use any technical words since I'm not good in english.

law is in place to help and it should be legit.in my own words i should say that it is 70%unfair.i say this basing on the law back here at home cozthe rich have protection and their punishment is less.the lawyers twist cases,so if u have to hire a comptent lawyer with a name,u have to do that with lots of money. i believe that 50% of the pple in prison are not guilty but the way they approached thier cases, pinned them. law was created to help, but it hardly does.

Now it is more common to hear of prison as a warm bed, regular food and a job. As the economy gets even worse, changes in the justice system seem inevitable.
