So ever since I can't get here during the day, I haven't made payout. I get on when I can, few cents here, few cents there. But I'm finally getting close to the elusive $10. But I'm thinking $9.45, naaahhh. This may not be the month. And then last night I got online and got all excited. $9.54. That's only 6 cents away, right?
Well if money was like time, you know, 60 minutes to an hour, 60 cents to a dollar, it would be.
Huge laugh at myself and my mathematical brain farts. Moving on....
Does your brain play tricks on you like that?

So the moral of this story is that we've got to keep you taklking today eh?
Earnings have not updated yet so you might be closer than you think but if you get your fingers busy over the next fiour days, including today, then this will be the big one
By the way, I had to read that three times before I found the mistake and I'm now wondering if brain farts are contagious?

I would be more concerned about the aroma, especially in a crowded room like the one where we are in here

Oh tell me about it! Thank God there is at least one person out there who does the same! haha
The real cruncher comes when you are sooo close to payday and then Mylot whittles off a few cents at the end of the month when they do their housekeeping. Then you may be left with $9.99. Aaaargh!
The one great thing is that at least we know that we will be paid without fail when we reach our target. Not something that can be said with confidence with many other sites online.

Which is why I'd be much happier to be at $10.05 than just $10. lol

Well, you to me spoke, to be able to take the payout of $ 10 per month. Frankly speaking, still do not know how you can make you so active in order to get those $ 10 every month.
However, on my most heartfelt congratulations.
You calculate that I get here on Mylot, more or less the average of 10-15 cents / day and doing short accounts, can I CO 1 time every 3 months. But after all, Im also so happy!

You have to spend hours per day to make the $10 per month!

Over here ,we call it " smart as a rule, but this time a fool".It is small wonder that you did it.That frequently happens to me,because I am bad at mental arithmetic.More so since I had a calculator.

Yes all the time. You are lucky you can talk about it. There are times my brain farts are so severe I forget how to talk.

Thank you for that laugh, Dawn. It was a good one! My brain did a number on me yesterday. I looked down at a get well car sitting on my computer desk. I thought there were cucumber slices over the dog's eyes. No, I looked again and it was two dimes I had accidentally set there.

Brain fart . . . ha ha!! Yep, sometimes that brain gets kinda clogged, eh? I'm getting close to payout too - finally. I did well at the beginning of the year, but then life started to take over again . . . so now I'm putt putt putting my way towards that ten. I'm so close but suspect I won't be hitting it til next month - maybe. I don't know why I can't think of any examples at the moment, but for sure I get those brain farts all the time - though most of the time I call it mommy brain.

Although I always do 'math-gymnastics' (term from an educational video my kids have) on my head, I still can't help making brain farts sometimes.
May issues are when a point appears before the numbers. And I've been known to add .600 to .540 to round up to 1.
Not good when dealing with precision inspection equipment.

Trust me don't feel bad, I have been the same way lately. Lately it seems I don't have any time to myself let alone log on mylot like I used. For the last two or three months I have been saying to myself this month I will challenge myself and put in some extra effort to do my payout, when the end of the month comes I say to myself oh well maybe next time. But hopefully this month I will get my payout, I will continue to keep my fingers cross. God knows we need every little money we can get our hands on. LOL

I have brain farts all the time. I don't get math brain farts though. It's usually spelling. Sad thing is I'm a great speller. Unfortunately, I think it's age and I will only be getting worse. Not good. I now know why my mom was so forgetful. Best Wishes!

I don't usually get them with spelling, but once in a while I will look at a word that's spelled correctly, and it will just look WRONG!

Hey dawyn! Math is definitely not my thing! I have also been taking
months to get to $10 and am at $9.45! And I still wonder if this will
be the month? I don't start discussions so it may still take another
month at the rate I'm going. My brain??????

I am here on myLot for interaction and the fun of it. Nothing to do about it. Two payouts in three years, that is all what I have gained. I will be retiring from my regular job next month, because of some medical issues and maybe then I will think of what I get here as a earning.
If it were not for the compulsion of day, night and seasons, the time would have been in metric. The regularity of these brought the astronomers to a figure of slightly above 365 days a year,365.242199 days to be exact. This became a mathematical problem for computation, so it was decided that 365 would be the figure and a leap year, once in four years, could cover the error of 0.242199 days. That fairly standardized the time frame as we know today.
If money were to follow the time model, it would be fair, not bad I suppose, but then the English came up with a more intricate and confusing model of money. A penny, tuppence, a sixpence, a shilling, a crown and a pound that would have only 96 pence in it. That was in practice till the decimal coinage came about. Miles and yards, foot and inches still practiced, even at your place, perhaps out of nostalgia of the days when one could be obstinate because of the power one had.
My brain playing tricks on me? No! It is too heavily weighed down by all the technical nonsense to rise above my heels, perish the thought of a flight of fancy.
