What's your job? Do you enjoy it?

I majored in law when I was in college, I spent 2 years to pass judicial examination.I found a job in a law firm as a assistant, but was fired cause the employer said my shyness made me not meet the requirement of a lawyer. After this matter, I dare not to found another lawyer assistant job.
Now I am working in a toy factory as a clerk, in charge of simple paper work, saving document and input product information to data base. Boring, is a perfect word to destribe this job. Since my cousin introduced this job to me, I have to work for a while. What's worse, the salary of this job is very low, even a cleaner earn more money than me. My colleagues told me this factory seldom raise its employee's salary, they stay here for many years, but their pays never raised, no to mention promotion.
So I set my mind---work hard at English, and then find a better job! I want to find a foreign trade job. It's a strange phenomenon in my country, people often improve themselves by means of studying English. HAHA!
What's your job? Do you enjoy it? Yes or no, tell me the reason.

I am an English teacher. :) I have been in love with English (the language) since I was like 5 years old. My family and relatives were aware of that and gave me their best support. That made even crazier about English. However, I actually don't want to be a teacher. I want to work in Embassy. But when I was in the 5th semester, my lecturer asked me to apply for a tutor in an English course in my city. I didn't know what to do at first, but when I saw my students, I fell in love with teaching. My friends say I'm good, and I use it as a support to keep doing the best in teaching. Now I am an Academic Manager in another English course and a lecturer in an Academy of Secretary in my city. I know I make a good money for a single woman like me, but this is no longer about the money. I just love this job. Since the first time I stood in front of the class and introduced myself to my students. I think I don't want to stop teaching. :)

Finding a job that I can enjoy it is my dream. Since my job is extremly boring, I do not feel well about it. Teacher is a good job, you can get lots of respect from your students, that's a present more precious than money.

I agree. That's why I always try my best to be a good teacher for my teacher. It is a very hard responsibility when students idolize you. :D But I like it, it makes me learn to be a better person. :)
I think if you know what you want, I'm sure you can find the job you like and enjoy. And if you can't, create one. ;) Then you won't regret anything.

I know, it is miserable to do a thing that you do not like. Maybe you can prepare your resume and hunt a job now, then you can quit your job after searching a satisfied job. Then you can solve your job problem...

I had my tastes in arts and literature right from my early years of life...yet things usually go astray when it comes to real situations. It is thus preferable to enjoy on's present vocation rather than being getting prudish over one's latent talents and merits.

I totally agree with you. I want to be a lawyer when I was a college student, but now I have to give up. Being a document clerk makes me more confuse now, I need to get rid of it and find another goal that I really enjoy .

Were you trying to work as a lawyer? What makes your employer think that you were shy? How did you get the job at the first place? To me, shyness should not be a base to fire an employee. There has to be something more of why they fired you.
I used to work in a residential treatment facility for adolescents for about 7 years. To me, it was too long. I didn't like it, but I didn't hate it either.

hi there! I am a Chemist and a mother. I love my job and enjoy it a lot. But my calling as a mother is too strong that is why I am aiming to stay at home or work from home. But for the mean time that I still need to work to meet our expenses, I am starting to accept article writing jobs and have some experience for the near future. I know God has a better plan for us that is why I am not rushing.

To the question: What is your job? I must respond with sadness, because I unfortunately find myself at the age of 37 still unemployed! But I must also say that it was not always so. 10 Years ago I was hired as a maintenance technician at a steel mill electric, and I must say that both of work and the salary (for that period) were essentially satisfactory.
After, I worked again for 1 ½ years at a famous Italian company called "Ansaldo Energia", will the work was already more monotonous.
To conclude I can say that I like to work. The time of world crisis, however, currently to me do not by chance!

I am working in a law office as a legal accounts executive for more than a year now. I am enjoying my job but I am planning to resign and try another and better opportunity.
