http://dailycaller.com/2012/03/28/alveda-king-sharpton-jackson-should-stop-playing-race-card-over-trayvon-martin/ A voice of sanity; MLK raised his family right. God bless them. Spike Lee wasn't raised right, apparently. He tweeted the wrong address for G. Zimmerman and a elderly couple had to flee their home in fear for their lives. The New Black Panther Party (the same one's the DOJ refused to prosecute for election fraud and intimidation at the polls) put out a bounty on George Zimmerman's head; their leader was arrested. Will he be charged with a hate crime? I admire Martin Luther King in so many ways. I'm thinking if he had not been killed, there would not be such insanity and our first black president would NOT be contributing to the mayhem with such remarks as "if I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon." No, MLK would speak out against ALL violence by ANY RACE. In fact, he did.

You have no idea how many times I've quoted MLK over the years! He wasn't speaking out about the injustices toward African Americans. He was speaking out about injustice itself. We've all experienced injustice yet we close our eyes to it!!!!! We as a whole, if not commiting it, we are allowing it. According TO MLK, either one IS injustice! How much I agree! Our sole goal is more money and power, period! And history does repeat itself. We forget too easily.

Nice Topic, Black Panther Party in 2012, it says an awful lot if you ask me, why not just try and earn your money & live a respectable life if you ask me, more than half these types are mis-educated, under-educated or just plain ignorant. If you feel racism is an issue it's a personal problem Good Luck!!!

Many of these types ARE educated, that's their problem. They went to progressive liberal colleges.

Good for her! She is honoring her uncle's memory while Sharpton and Jackson mock the words and goals of the great Dr. King. If King had lived it would be a very different world and a more just one.

I'm planning a discussion on just that subject. I agree!

I'm sorry; I don't usually do this, but I have to correct you on something. I hate being a stickler for those little things called "facts." You made a mistake in your discussion there. You said: "our first black president..." We haven't had a first black president yet. President Barack Obama, while he is a different shade than guys like Bush and Clinton, is a white man. I'm not busting your chops or anything. I'm just not sure if you got the memo. If you're half white, that makes you 100% white. You're no longer considered a minority if you have white blood. Just ask the "white Hispanic" George Zimmerman and those who have changed the rule. I guess now I need to go down the list and claim my people! Halle Berry, you're all white baby. Come to papa! Derek Jeter, Alicia Keys, Vin Diesel, come on down! You're not only all white; you're all racists -- you're all "the man!"

Now that you mention it like that...wow, they have changed the rules. Way back, if you had a teeny tiny bit of non white you couldn't be white. Now I see....white is the new minority?
