Are You Afraid Of Software Programming Or Software Programmers ?

Developing a program is actually an engineering proccess. It requires a lot of understanding about how the computer works , how the operating system works , you need an algorithm and to actually define the software requirements. There are also many tasks to perform on the software during the developement like checking all the functions , debugging them one by another (to do that , you also have to make a small program that can call those functions and then you see how they work if you use the break point). Many programing languages have a lot of many instructions and those have the guide about how those work. For example , if you go to java.com , then you go to the help center then you go to the "information for software developers" then go to the API's (aplication programming interfaces) You can learn how things work there , all the classes , all of how to use them and etc. If you plan well how to accomplish the task you want to do , you make a good program that can be much of a help for you.

I became afraid of programming languages when I found out they were more complicated than machine code! Yes, I learned to peek and poke on a ZX81 and went on to become an industrial controller programmer. Machine code, for those who don't know, is what gets fed directly into the CPU. You can say it is the final output of any compiled/linked language. Machine code - programming without the bloat! Yes, programmers are weird.

Yes, programming is often hard specially if you are dealing with complex software development wherein problems that are new to you may come out. But I am not afraid in dealing those instances because it is a challenge to me plus you can't explain the feelings if you are able to solve the problem, it is like you are so smart that you are able to complete the big puzzle. I love programming because it helps me see what I visualize which is what I love the most. To see my imagination.

Hahaha. My friend Ganesh. don't say you're afraid of me too. I'm also part programmer and artist. I code html, php and javascripts. I guess the world of syntax, binary and code logic or whatever else people call them these days is pretty strange for other people. But we are typically the same as everyone else. Yes sometimes you could say we might see the world in a different perspective, but we are just humans like you and everyone on the planet. We still go out with friends, party, go to the beach, we fall in love too and get married and yeah we go shopping too. hehe. I partly take your view from experience though, some of my neighbors won't exactly know what the heck I'm talking about if I talk about my work. But as much as possible I try not to talk about all that programming gibberish when I'm around people who are not into that sort of thing. In the real world we still blend in as much as we can. But maybe you are referring to the higher order of the programmers who never leave their house. hehehe. That is the higher order of geeks I have to say. Most of us are not like that. So loosen up and relax, we are not as frightening as you think we all are. cheers!

the only programming language i like is the visual basic 6(mysql) the rest i don't like it find it hard... ...

I guess I'd have to say software programming. I'd probably respect, actually I do respect software programmers. Software programming can get pretty complex, you really have to know the language you are using, as well as the hardware. I guess that is why there is so much learning to software programming. Video games are software, and look at the stuff required to make one, as well as learning to program for the game system too.

Say what?! Writing code is awesome! I have a 20 year career as a software developer. Come on, everybody knows that computers are super cool! I will say that yes, applications are getting more and more complicated and it seems like a person has to know more and more skills. Every company seems to have a list of 8-10 different tools they want you to know. It's hard to keep up. I will say too, that the money is great in IT and the job opportunities should be fairly steady in the next few years so I think it is a great field to get into. So no, I am definitely not afraid of programming and actually I like nerdy programmers. :)
