Darn, that link is no good. I have heard quite a bit about the debate and read quite a bit about it, too.
The thing that strikes me is that the justices can see quite plainly the faults in the law and how it will affect the role of government toward the people. Our elected representatives could not or would not see what was plainly before them nor would they listen to the peoples' protests against it. I keep thinking of Speaker Pelosi saying "are you serious?!" when asked about the constitutionality of the law--I doubt she's ever even read the constitution or she would have been able to answer the question in a calm and informative manner. Dems and Repub reps alike should be ashamed of themselves!

Thanks! It's good to know the judges have a sense of humor but I certainly hope they have a dose of good sense, as well.

Lets just say that we make a law that everyone, every household must go out and buy a chicken so that they will have their own fresh eggs. Having the eggs is a good thing so its can't be a bad law "right"? Wrong forceing anyone to buy any product is unconstitutional no matter how you spin it up its wrong, we need eggs, we like eggs, but you can't make me buy chickens so that I can have eggs.
I need healthcare and would like to have insurance but you cannot make me buy it, you can however make me pay for my medical, there are hundreds of thousands of people living in the US illegally who recieve free medical, send them home so that our medical services can survive with our current system, if insurance keeps going up and medical services keeps going up none of us will be able to afford either right now it seems that the insurance companies and the medical services are feeding off each other because medical services keeps going up the insurance companies need to charge more to make their ends meet and a good example is my insurance company paid about $2000.00 for my MRI because it was a "customary" charge but I had a friend with no insurance who had the same MRI at the same place who told them he wanted a cash price all up front he paid the $800.00 cash....it needs to stop!
