I watched several Korean movies both love story (romance and comedy romance) and horror themes. I found that some of love stories were light and just a typical love story but I love to watch them again. On the other hand, horror movies were very exciting and full of suspense. Of course, I watched them with subtitles.
Here are some of Korean Movies I like:
Windstruck
My Sassy Girl (There is also English version but I likethe Korean one)
A Moment to Remember
The Classic
Il Mare (Adapted by the Lakehouse)
The Tale of Two Sisters
Into the Mirror
How about you mylotters, do you also found Korean movies interesting? What are the Korean movies you like?

Yeah, try to watch them, but you need to have a subtitle firt before you can fuly understand the conversations or the movie itself.

I don't know because here in Philippines, it was still in the Korean language, so you need to have subtitle. Also, traslating/dubbing it in local lanaguage, for me, sometimes looses my interest because it does not reflect the real voice of the stars. I d'rather have to watch it in Korean with subtitle than dubbed in our loca language. hehehe

Koreans do good dramas, comedies and romance but Action is not for them,I think Hong Kong is still number 1 with action, in fact Hollywood hires Hong Kong Fight Choreographers. I dont like Korean Horror movies cos they use too much symbolism and psychological stuff.
The only Korean horror I like is "The host" most of their horrors were too much Psychological and confusing. The best Asian Country when it comes to horror are Japan and Thailand.
Koreans progress the most with Romance, Romantic comedy and drama.

I haven't watched Korean action films. I guess you are right that Honkon/China are the best when it comes to action.
Really? Japan and Thailand are best when it comes to horror? I should try that one...
You are right that romance/comedy-romance and drama are best for Koreans.

a good Koren action film would be My wife is a gangster and its sequel which is a Hong Kong crossover, My wife is a gangster 2. Sophie's revenge is a good Korea/China crossover comedy movie.

These Korean TV plays were dubbed here in the Philippines to local language in order to be easily understood by the people.

I love Korean movies t- but I watch tv series nowadays, since it is hard to find copies of movies, they are all the same. I have watched all the movies you've listen and yeah, they were all fun to watch...especially Lake House and Sassy Girl. The Classic was really touching too, wish it could've been longer. Try Sad Movie- it's abut 4 interconnected stories in Korea, about love and family.

One Indian movie I watched and liked was the 3 Idiots. I used to watched it with the natural language but with a subtitle. It good. I watched Korean movies but with subtitles. It is never dubbed here in the Philippines. Korean drama series are those being dubbed in local language and shown at night.
