Do You Use Your own Name in your facebook account

Well yes, people who like using their fake name and nick name will be hard to search. But usually people like that is the one whose active searching for friend, so it might end up that he / she is the one who have many friend. Thansk crazzydolphin for the comment.

Well yes, i know a lot of people who like to add people. But i do know a few reasong why they do that. Most people who like to add people randomly, usually are people who want to promote something. It is either their product, blog, link, or other thing. Thanks for your respond.

yes it makes it very hard but i can understand why they would do it. this way only the few people that know it will be able to find them and add them as a friend. yes i know someone who did nothing but add friends like crazzy because he wanted to see how many friends he could get and now he is blocked from adding for a long time (i dont remember how long) now he is unable to add anymore so the people he does know (me) he cant add for a while. i dont see the point in to many friends lol. your welcome and thank you for the response :)

Well i know for sure you change your name in facebook. But before you change your real name from your marriage name, make sure you tell your husband first, and tell him the reason. Don't want anything to causes misunderstanding with your husband. Thanks for your respond.

wow i said i use my name also but until you posted this i didnt realize i also use my married name hahaha. i think that you can go to your profile and edit it and you should be able to change your name but i could be wrong. may be someone can help you out a little better on that 1 but it wouldnt hurt to check that out :) it does make it haarder to figure out who posted lol

Crazzydolphin - Yeah that is very true. I have seen a few of my friends put their first name then their maden name and then out to the side in the little things they put their married names. I will deffanetly try and see if i can change it just in case i am missing friends because they dont find my name on facebook. Lordcaocao2025 - That is very true. That would cause me and my husband alot of arguments if i didnt even thoug i didnt mean anything by it. I would still put my married name there though. Thanks for the post back.

Yeah, I have friends on facebook who use Korean names on their name. Sometimes I find it so hard to find them, that's why I just browse on my photo albums to see their names tagged in my pics :-) Um, no. my real name is Cheyenne. shaieen is just a screen name ^^

Thanks for sharing shaieen. Yes it is easy to recognize people when they use the real name. I also found annoying when people using their name with nonsense character, it will make it hard to read, and i think also hard to write. Also is your real name is shaieen?

i dont think i want to be friend with my boss in my facebook.. even i never make any status for attacking my office maybe.. its weird for me, for being my boss as my facebook friend..

Facebook never make a rule that we need to use our real name there. But... if you are using facebook, with many friend from a client, co-worker, Bosses, business partner and even customer, THEN i think you need to use real name and real picture, that way it will give you and your company more credibility.

Well for some people it might like taken a freedom from them, but for other people it might be a chance. Being facebook friend with your boss will make you noticable ny the boss. The management will recognize you and it will be easier for you to grand promotion. It all depend on your view. As for me, i don't have my boss in my facebook account, but i do have co worker and a few business partner there.

well i dont use my middle name and hardly anyone knew it anyhow i use my first name and then my maiden name and then my married name.. hope that makes sense i seen alot of other people do it and it made sense to do it too,, and it does help in finding people you use to know by the old last name becasue if your not in touch with them for years and they get married and posted on facebook ther married name you would not know them ... so we use our maiden names as well.. makes sense to me..

Oh i see, well how do you actually use two name at facebook account. Do you have two facebook account or do you use your maiden name as your middle name and your married name as your last name. Using real name is sure make it a lot easier for friend to find us in facebook.

i do hate what they do with their name and i mean is what you said when they do have their name with a strange middle or nickname in between. It make it harder to read and hard to understand. Off course they can do what ever they want with their account. But sometime i just angry.

Yes, it is sure annoying. And i do angry sometime, but i usually keep it my self, because i have no right to tell them what to do with their facebook account, especially since it doesn't really give me any bad effect. Thanks for your respond my friend.

It doesn't anger me, I just find it kinda annoying and childish sometimes, but like you mentioned it's their profile so they can use whatever name they want.

But still, how could we search their name and find them in the Internet if they're not using their real name, right? Like before, I was searching the name of a classmate when I was 9 years old and I could not find her. And after a year, I found her through mutual friend but she's not using her real name and the only good thing is that I identified her through picture but everything would be much easier if only she used her real name. Haha. Sorry if I'm hard-headed.

Well yes, if their name is hard to find, then the only solution is to wait for them to find you, or maybe you get lucky and see their picture on facebook on one of your friend status when he / she make a comment on it. Or the most easiest way is try to search their old phone number and ask them right away. Off course it is only possible of their phone number is still available.

Well although it seem not necessary for you autumndreamer, but some people could see it as necessary. They might find themselves don;t want to be add by some people but they still want to enjoy facebook, so in order to be not added by them, they are using fake name. yes i consider to try facebook or social sites but i think right now i haven't much time to dedicate to them and even facbook sounds strange in my opinion these big networks are useful to control different people around the world knowing their interests,thinking and attitudes!!

I don't think facebook is something that use to control people around the world. It is more a place for sharing and connecting with people, either it is people that we close too or old friend that we lost contact too. It is more like a communication device. You can do whatever you want with it, it is not controlling you.

Yes adhyz82, you are right. Facebook doesn't require us to send our proof of identity so they will never know who we really are. It is not their business to force us using our own name. The same thing also apply for mylot, forum and many other social networking sites.

I don't think using your real nameis a requirement in order to open an account. I see a lot of people using nick name, fake name, or even nonsense name that only the owner account understand what the name meaning ( or even him / her don't understand what it meant ).

Well yes, i see a lot of strange name in facebook. Some contain curse, some time contain how beautifull or handsome they are. Some is the name of their idol. Some even nonsense that i cannot understand what it mean. That is the way people enjoy facebook, it is strange but it is real.

If you have the real name then it is easier for us to understand that who he is.I also do this type of thing as by seeing the name I don't even go and see who he is if he has a name which I can't recall.

Well thanks Catherineyang, just as thought. Well you have a very interesting culture. In my country, china people also have two name. One is the China Name, the other is my country name. But usually people called them using their china name, since it was what their family use to call them.

People in school was famous because their nick name instead of their real name, but this is rarely happened in office or work environment.

yup that't correct. I am the one who is more popular with nick name than my real name (even though I must say that my real name is easier to remember). since I use it a lot in different occasions. that;s why my buddies will find me easier with it.

Oh i see. Well using fake name and using not your picture, it usually end up in reject when you add a person. I usually reject people who i don't know their name and don't recognize their picture. Off course you need to sent message to them first before you add them, but usually they will have to investigate first to see who you really are.

Oh i see, well if the one who add you is those who you don't know, then it most likely they add you not because of your real name. It might have something to do with your other profile. Mostly people who added other take interest in the profile picture, maybe you should change your profile picture instead.
