Indeed and I see you're fairly new here, welcome to mylot. But yes I'm inclined to agree with you, mylot is like a cup of coffee, it has definitely become an essential part of my day. I don't go anywhere now without my netbook and that's because I need to be kept informed as to what's going on in mylot and make contributions. But I do so love your analogy "Mylot is like a cup of coffe"which reminds me I need to go make a cup now Have a great day!!!

Good comparison. Remove "like" and, metaphorically expressed, it would be stronger -- the discussion, not the coffee --. I need also my daily cup of coffee offered by myLot.

For me Mylot is a cup of tea,not coffee as I enjoy drinking tea as you do coffee.We both enjoy discussions on different topics here.They are really extremely relaxing and thought evoking.Responding to one and then switching over to another with a different topic is really wonderful.It serves many purposes at the same time.It improves your English,improves your capability to deal with different topics,entertains you and provides a healthy exercise for your mind.

hmm, for me mylot is like new adventure in my life. because this the first time for me. a little bit fun and exciting with all of activity in this site. please give me some advice to be good in here. :D

It is always hot too Not only can you keep sipping at it but you can also set it down and you will still find it when you come back to it. No-one will have taken it away

my wife and i used to share a big mug of coffee each morning and another in the afternoon. sometimes we still have another big mug in the evening, something like a sleeping pill. it's the same way i do mylotting. i start my office work with mylot before going to my normal, official tasks. and it goes all the way till the last minute in the office. i get the laptop on till midnight, mostly. as my sleeping pill. and since the big mug we used to share with already broken, i do mylot and sip my coffee from this mylot mug. :)

yes of course it was same with me.,. i can start my day with my coffee and mylot and before sleeping, i want to read some discussion here with mylot

i usualy dont get on mylot until after 2 when my husband leaves for work.. i dont drink coffee so for me it would be a pepsi lol.. i just never did get into the taste of coffee.. i am trying to get a different routine so maybe i will start getting on mylot in the mornings .. im gonna work on that tonight and do different tomorrow.. as i know a schedule will help me.. but i do have to do mylot daily or i miss it..alot..

Well I don't like coffee, but I do get your message loud and clear. There is just something about myLot where I feel like I have to step in at least part of the time. It is not something that I might really spend all that much time doing but it is just something that gets those creative juices just battering around right in the back of my mind. If nothing else, it offers a great deal of inspiration. Inspiration is something that drives me and gets my creativity booming. The power of this community is quite something. While I'm not so enthralled about myLot as I might have been in the past, it is still great enough to stir a certain quality right in me. And that to me works well.

I don;t drink coffee~ So wanted to replace it with water~ But I am not into it too much till I don't do other things. If I am not here for a weeks is still fine with me. But to take a glance is a must. At least I know what people is up to...(^^)(^^)

Indeed, i do have the same feeling regarding Mylot, Kesh. I see myself can't take a day off from Mylot whenever i am free and online. I always make sure that i do spend some time to answer some discussions. Seems like, Mylot is too addictive until i can't stay away from it too long. I always visit Mylot before i go to sleep. Hope Mylot will always be here forever, so we can get to know more and more new friends.

since i never drink coffee because i don't like it keeping me awake all night, mylot can be a good replacement hehehe. its 4:20 am here and i am still up just mylotting

Due to my work load, I had a 2-months hiatus on myLot. I missed it a lot but there are times when I reply to a few discussions. And yeah, I do agree with you on myLot being a cup of coffee. When I get too busy with work (mind drain), I visit myLot for a few minutes before going to work again. if my officemates had something like "Coffee Break", then I have "myLot Break" :D Happy myLotting!
