do you see the goal of chelsea in benfica??its not torres goal..
but torres assist
and torres a real role is a forward..
maybe torres had been enough with many critics with him about his finishing touching for scoring but now Torres (el nino) had proved with another way...He is superb when giving so many assist for chelsea winning..
until now, only 7 goals from torres since january 2011...of course it is not suitable with many expectations when he must bought with 50 millions poundsterling from Liverpool
torres always is unlucky when he comes to goalkeeper side..but now he maybe had changed his role..
he is very effective as creator goals than the executor the goal..
you maybe remember the goal from salomon kalou when he give the superb assist...
the opta statistic, it was the fourth assist from Torres in champions league..wonderful..
Karim benzema and gaitan beat him with both of them had noted 5 assist
in overall games, torres had make 11 assist..
wonderful record for him...
so maybe di matteo now only explore his another ability..
not because the predator but the creator..
what do you think about the new ability from Torres??

Everyone to start to realize that Torres become one one the good important player for Chelsea and recently turned to primary weapon for blues. I think he feel better than previously which he uncomfortable play for blues and now show a good progress. He like to do more assist than scoring a goal.
Currently, he plays a role as a king of assist for blue. This is an opportunity fro him to show he better than previously and time to proof his real immortal strength. I love to see Chelsea play and of course if Torres played too.
I just hope that he could scorer more for blues and show back his immortal strengthen that he can do it.

Yep I also noticed that. He is not a bad player (though I don´t consider him to be worth what Chelsea paid for him, it´s just too much), he is obviously affected in a psychological way. It seems that he is getting over that as he is playing very well lately.

It's nice to see a player like him trying to restore his fame and pride (except if you are a Liverpool fan :P) I think Di Matteo restored some of his confidence which as it seems Villas Boas wasn't really good at. So far with Torres instead of Sturridge on the wink Chelsea is performing better than a month ago.

Beside goals, strikers are now expected to provide assist as well. Look at Rooney, Messi, Van Persie and Ronaldo. All scored loads of goals and is providing tons of assist as well. So it is not unexpected of Torres to do likewise. While goals are difficult to come by for the spaniard, the assists will help him gain some confident back.

If torres doesn't score, at least be a creator. That does him good as well because he still gets to play regularly and who knows in time, he shall get his scoring touch back? It's like Wayne Rooney, he plays in midfield at times, playmaker role and he excels in that. Strikers need not be up there all the time, and if torres is able to contribute something else to the team other than goals, i'm sure all players, supporters and fans would welcome that.
