Hi everyone...
Yesterday, my local train was late for almost one and half hour. We all were tensed as most of us are servicemen and searching the reason. The reason..... a lady attempted suicide in front of the train which ran just before our train. That train detached her both legs on thigh and was lying near the track and later she kept her neck on the track again. Our train just left the station but speed was able to break down. So, she was saved and was talking at that time to the people gathered around.
Anyway, my question is should we wish her quick recovery or death? I mean as she has no lower parts on her body.
N.B.:- she was telling to the people "let me die anyway"

Very sad story!
As far as what to wish for, I really don't know. If I was praying for her I would pray to God and leave the results in his hands. I do not know what is best for her. I do hope that her suffering ends.

Sad to say but I think I would just let her die, especially now that her legs are gone. That is really not a wise thing for her to do. Every problems has solutions, and I think she should have found a solution for it and not attempt to kill herself.

If it is really, really bad, like I'm in a coma going into multiple organ failure, then I would say please let me die. No one should ever have to suffer like that.

That is a tough one. That is one of the great risks that people take when they attempt to take their own lives. What if they live and what quality of life they had was gone?
I hate to say it and it sound cold but maybe what happened was meant to be sort of a lesson. I can not imagine the desperation someone might feel when they get to that point but that incident does have a way of making one appreciate the simple fact that they can walk.
That is a very sad situation shibham...I will be thinking of that woman.

H shib!
It is easy to say just let her die but for those people who was there I am sure they could not just close their eyes and let let her do it for the second time. If I was at that place I will do the same thing-help her out from there. There will be possibility she will do it for the second time as her life will get harder-far from what she expect it to be but I hope the can think and get back to her normal life. She is given a second chance and hope she will be grateful with it.(^^)

Yes, support and love from others is important. If she can't find that, she need to look for it deep in herself. Yes, others don't know her problem and will never understand but it does not mean she can take her life because of it. She is not the only one who struggled with life in this world. She is not alone but they still go through with their life and I hope she will do the same.
I am glad Sid you get back to your life and I am sure there is more waiting for us ahead~ Be strong, everyone!!!

We don't know why she was attempting to kill herself, but sometimes it's from a temporary problem or emotion, that gives permanent result
Now if she stays alive she will realize that she made herself thousand times more miserable than she ever was. I don't know what it will be like later, knowing that she can't walk any more because she once wanted to jump out. Maybe this experience will make her wiser, and she will be able to build up her life again, a better one. Maybe not.
I would pray for whatever is better for her in the future.

That is very sad! How distraught she must have been to die in such a painful way. I am not sure what I would wish for her - Peace if she lives and heaven if not.

You saved her???? Sorry but I agree with her, you did do it because of yourself not because of her.

I guess let her die for that's what she wanted. Some people are not meant to carry too much burden in their heart and if ever they decided to end everything, it is because they don't wanna deal with it any longer. Why prolong the agony when it is not worth at all? They are ready to leave and so be it. It is not mean and inhumane opinion as long as you does not cooperate with their decision like those nurses found guilty of killing lives in hospitals because they cannot bear seeing people suffer. If u choose to die just do it in a peaceful way, not jumping on something that will make ur appearance very horrible. I still believe, things has solution except terminal illness, and think harder before u do.

It is very hard to judge a person who attempts this way. Someone may not be able to hold the burdens of life, Someone may loss supports from others in surviving the life, Someone may suffer a lot from life and someone may lose the desire to live the whole life. I think the issues of nurses that you have mentioned is somehow connected with Euthanasia but it is also worth too think a lot.
At last she has lost her life and left this earth for good.
Have a nice time.
