I have several Philippine 100 peso bills that I have kept for more than 5 years. These are part of approximately 1,000 error notes were released into circulation. Apparently, in an attempt to save money in printing the bank notes, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) outsourced the printing to an unnamed French Security printer. Unfortunately, the outsourced 100-piso notes delivered to the BSP bore President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s surname misspelled as “Arrovo.”
I read that these erroneous bills are being retired as soon as it reaches the banks but they remain legal tender in the Philippines.
I might hold on to it as it's value might get higher over time. If I were you, would you hold on to it or sell it right away for a quick buck?

Oh, really? What if former President Arroyo is convicted of the crimes she made? Like if she is hanged or sentenced to life imprisonment. Do you think it will still go valuable?

I'd hold onto them too, if I were you. When the $1 and $2 bills went out of circulation in Canada, I held onto mine. You may be right about them becoming collectors items.

Anything that becomes rare, due to errors, usually increase in value. I have been collecting error coins of the United States Mint for a long time. I have sometimes found unusual coins that were not noticed by others for several years, that were finally noticed by others which made them become more valuable than they originally were worth. I suggest that you hold on to them.
