The interesting but unknown places in your country

In every country there are some places that many tourists visit, but in addition to those places there are some interesting places that few tourists find, because they aren't mentioned in the guidebooks or because they are far away from the popular tourist areas. In Denmark some of the popular places are Tivoli, the little mermaid, Legoland and the Hans Christian Andersen museum, but I think that there are other interesting places. They are not very wellknown outside the country, but I think that they are interesting as well.
One of those places is Aeroeskoebing. There are many old houses from around 1600 and I love the narrow cobblestone streets that look like something from the past. Relatively few international tourists visit Aeroeskoebing, because it quite far from Copenhagen and because it is expensive to catch the ferry to the island where Aeroeskoebing is.
Which beautiful and interesting places in your country do many tourists skip? If you were able to promote a place in your country that most tourist overlook which place would you choose? Why does that place deserve more visitors?

there is an Island with my country, where the sand looks like brown sugar (there are white sand beaches in my country but this island have brown sand) and its a a beach where pine trees grow in the sand.Imagine pinetrees in the tropics.. The residents there alone dont know how it happened, they said pinetrees just became invasive and grows there out of nowhere.Sadly I forgot the Island's name, thats how obscure it is. but it looks stunning.
there is an island in my country that is also underrated, Its Capiz, that place is feared cos the folkloric legendary monsters which is known as aswang originated there. That place also have some cults and witches. despite of its reputation, its a beautiful, clean and safe Island, there is no evidences of aswangs there and the witches and cults are kinda harmless.

The beach with the brown sand and pine trees sounds interesting. I love places that are different. Pine trees are very common in my country, but it is not the first thing that comes to mind I think about the tropics. I looked up Capiz on the internet. I have never heard about it before, but I am interested in myths and folklore so the things that you wrote about the aswang made me curious.

I want to visit the Phillipines in the future. I think that your country is very different from my country, because I am from a country with a cold climate. We have beaches, but I think that they are very different from your beaches, because the water is always cold even in the summer months. I looking forward to the hot weather in the Philippines. In my country I thought that the winter was finally over, but they just said that we are getting snow again I am definately jealous at your climate

It is nice that you have a park near your house. There is a park in my town, but right now they are renovating it, so at the moment it is a noisy place instead of a nice place, but I look forward to visiting it in the future. I hope that I will get the chance to see the Ganges one day, I have only seen it on pictures.

I have never heard about that place before, but I think it is interesting to hear about some of the less wellknown places in other countries. I have never been to Indonesia, but I hope to visit your country in the future. I know some people from my country who have visited Indonesia, but all of them have chosen to visit the famous places like Bali or Jakarta. When I visit Indonesia I would like to visit some of the popular places as well as some of the less wellknown places where there are relatively few other tourists.

I had never heard about Elsa before, but I looked up the film when I had read your response. It sounds interesting. It is nice to hear that you plan on visiting Elsa's grave this year. I think it is interesting to check out the less famous sights of our countries. I would also like to visit some of the less wellknown places in my country for instanse some of the small islands where I haven't been yet. There are many small islands in the area where I live now and I would like to visit 2 or 3 of them this summer. I have never been to Kenya, but I hope to visit your country one day. It is on my travel wishlist, but it is not going to happen in the near future, because we have planned a trip to Asia first, and we are still trying to save up the money for that trip.

I think promotion is the key to attracting visitors...

I agree with that. I think that many small places don't get a lot of visitors, because few people know about them. If you were able to promote a place in your country, which place would you choose?

I hope that your wish will come true in the future and that you will get the chance to visit the countries that you are interested in. I really hope that my husband and I will be able to travel this year. I think that I will have the time to travel, but I am not sure if we have enough money, because the plane tickets from Europe to Asia are quite expensive and we also need money for other things like accomodation, food etc. I hope to visit your country one day, but it is not going to happen in the near future, because it will take us a lot time to save up for the next trip when we come back from Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
