How to get started with a new business?

I suppose the first thing is to make sure you're complying with all the legal requirements, so it might be a good idea to contact the relevant government agencies and get their advice on keeping the books straight, food hygiene etc. You also need to find some wholesalers. And obviously you need to make sure you can support yourselves for the first few months while you're building up your business, either from savings or maybe by doing some part-time work to supplement whatever you get from the food cart. That's all I can think of right now, but there are probably things I haven't thought of. Good luck with your venture.

I suggest you buy yourself the book written by Michael Gerber entitled "The E Myth Revisited". It is a must-read book for start-up entrepreneurs like you. You'll learn how to create a system, or work out a system, on your business, so it won't cause you much stress growing and managing your business.
