Rich dad said "You only need words to make money"

"...It does not take money to make money. You only need words"--and words are mostly free. (Found in one of Robert Kiyosaki's works) When I think about such a sentence that came from Rich Dad, I think of MyLot. What a way to use words to earn yourself money. When I first heard of such an advice, I became more motivated in MyLot. Or course it does not mean that way but it's just how I got it the first time. Silly me and my imagination. Actually, what Rich Dad meant at that time was 'what you tell yourself affects how you make money.' If you stick to words such as risk, problem, security, debts, expenses and others, you get less motivated to make money but if you use the words possibility, opportunity, return, investment (most of them positive words--and what others might think as risks) you tend to feel all giddy and excited and make money quite well compared to the latter. How about you MyLot users, how do you motivate yourself to make money? What is it that you need that you get to make money? Please do share. Happy MyLotting!

I love that quote! I like a variety of things to do on the Internet so I have to keep myself motivated. I keep thinking that the more I make on the Internet the less I will have to work for someone else. This is inspiring for me. I do want to retire some day from a regular job and know that the more I do here now the better it will be for me in the end.

Hehe...I was thinking of what I had planned for myself while I was reading your post. I am still a student yet I'm already thinking of retirement--without even experiencing working under another person/company. I do not yet have a financial plan--but I want to be financially free. So I had some plan--not totally financial-- that will lead me to that financial goal I have within 5 years time.

Go for it SinfulRose. Start while you are young and you will reach your goal. I don't know how many sites you are on but if you could take just two and put the money you make from them into savings account and never touch them you would have a nice amount saved down the road.

lol. I don't plan to save anything...maybe only 5-10% of what I have, maybe I can get it to a savings account... What I have in mind is something a bit of a twist between illusion and reality--like magic. Good luck also in your journey to financial freedom. I pray that you'll succeed.

Thanks for that useful piece of advice, we all can sure use it. The way I have been motivating myself is the quote from a famous favorite musician of mine, he says that for good luck you must work hard. So ever since then I have been trying, my best anyway. I know I can't do some thing due to my own phobias, and such though. I have some outstanding bills right now for awhile too so that is motivating me as much as I possibly can as well.

Oh...debts can be paid. That's for sure. One needs the right knowledge to handle money well so that they don't treat debts as something bad. For me, debts are good. So long as you know the consequence and know how to pay them. And I also believe that opportunities are seen only by those who had enough knowledge to see it coming. So it's good luck comes to whose who work smart.

You motivated me to in reading your post "You only need words to make money". Mylotters like us will be truly motivated, though it doesn't really mean that way but since we're engage in writing words in order to earn a little but means big to us, the quote is so appropriate to inspire us. Though we have to add the right choose of words, the interesting topics still we only need words to make money. Wonderful...

That's a nice quote. Don't we need audience? To make them hear our words, we may need to spend sometimes, because so many people have "words" and they shout. My idea is, if we need to spend to make money, we should not hesitate. There is an opportunity and it needs spending. (If we consider it as a risk, we don't see the opportunity as you said.) However, before spending we should analyze things thoroughly and act. I agree with that saying "think before you act". I am seeing people around who make more than me and that's how I motivate myself. I need a tallest place where from people will hear my "words". (It takes little money to reserve the place. )

Good luck in reserving that stage. And when you do, I'll be reserving a VIP seat.

well that could be interpretated in different ways, the way i see it u only need to trick people and prolly cheat on them to make yourself rich... most of the richest people in the world made that money exploiting other people and even stealing the work of others so... life is s**t a lot of times

There are other ways aside for cheating that can get one rich as soon as possible. One just needs to use the thing between your ears to know that one--that's what I believe.

Work hard but work smarter. In order to achieve success--and ending to be a winner--one needs brains as well as brawn.

That quote certainly makes enough sense, and only the applying part takes the next big role.
