They say that music influences people. Do you think music can cause people to be violent and commit crimes? What about relationships? Can certain music influence people to break up or make up? What is the power of music?

I dont think music can break up or make up one's relationship.Music has not that much power, but it did really influence our motions.I can be high and happy after hearing some songs but some songs may let me feel sad although I have a great time before. If you're sad sometimes, listening some songs will make you happy and be easy.

Pretty good response. Music doesn't make a person do something...it just influences emotions that are timed to those actions. Nicely put.

In my opinion, if music makes you a violent person, you are already a violent person and the music did nothing but bring it out of you. It didn't change you, it just made you show who you really are. Metal music can soothe some people, while it annoys someone else. The influence that music carries is that, one that is able to bring out who you truly are.

Thanks. That's an interesting twist. I can't say I've heard that response before.
