Best place to visit in Thailand?

Me and my friends are planning to attend the Water Festival in Thailand and do some countryside visits. May I know where's the specific best place to visit in Thailand?

I went to Thailand last year, and the good place I went was in Phuket and Pattaya.

Wow! I wish I could go to Phuket but we will be touring the other side of the country to experience a richer culture of the country, specifically in Chiangmai. Anyway, how was your trip there? I was thinking you had enjoyed the beach in Phuket.

Oh yes! I had so much fun in Phuket. The beach was real nice!! I went to Pattaya beach also, but the place was kinda crowded especially at night.

I went to Phuket too several weeks ago.. It was nice trip and I plan to go to Thailand again next year.. But I don’t want to go to Phuket again.. I want to go to Bangkok hehehe :)
